Theres a 100 yrs of history and a 100 before that,
all gathered in the thinking going on beneath his hat.
A cold flame burns within him till his skins as cold as ice,
and the dues hes paid are worth every sacrafice.
Alll the miles spent sleepy driving all the money down the drain,
all the if i"s n nearlys all the bandages and pain.
All the female tears left dryn all thefever n the fight,
are just a small down payment on the ride he makes tonight.
Its the guts, love and glory 1 mortals chance of fame,
his legacy is rodeo and a COWBOY is his name.......

This is the poem read out by cody in the movie 8 seconds just before the scene where lane frost is killed
