Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Re: Castlemaine Truck (& Ute) Show ok i dont know if cowpoke is playing or not?!?! i googled the show and it said they were playing for 2007, but now on there myspace there going to be somewhere else.. guess we just all gotta make our own entertainment for the night ![]() Billy coming from dalesford over the hills and into castlemine is the easyest way to go.. I have no idea of what the name of the joint is, but lets give this a go! Do you remember the Alan Nixon books on utes and utepeople? one of those books had like a yellowish pub on the front cover with a couple of utes, well, you would turn right at that pub and go strait up the road... still confused, yeah me too! there should be signs, if you keep on the main road heading into castlemaine and you get to the part where you go UNDER the railway bridge then youve gone way too far, its easyer to direct you from the Bendigo direction, but yeah its simple enough... if you get to the rail bridge turn back, keep going strait along the main road (back towards dalesford) till you get to the Yellow / Creamy coloured pub you cant miss it, its as if the roads going to run into it, the road vears to the right, but TURN LEFT, its strait up there on the right at the reserve, cant miss it. still confused? then call me, see if i can help with landmarks adn that kinda thing.

| Re: Castlemaine Truck (& Ute) Show Yeah the pub you are talking about is the five flags hotel, I know the pub well. With that bit of info I shouldn't get lost (much) . Is it worth everyone meeting somewhere then convoying out or just meet up at the ground? I have no idea what anyone looks like but I can identify a few utes that they own | |

| Re: Castlemaine Truck (& Ute) Show Well I came through with the goods and made it to this show. It was a good turnout with about 70 utes. The only downside was the lack of categories and a bit better organisation was needed but other than that it wasn't a bad day all round. I never actually got the camera out of the ute so no pictures from my end. | |

I'm the same made it to the show for the first time, great turn out and some very nice utes. My thoughts for the down side are very poor categories, some judging very good some bad. . . . But great to see so many turn up and enjoy the day. . . . . I will think twice about going next year. . Pete. . . .

I knew a few utes from this site but apart from Chad and Rachie I didn't know anyone else so didn't get to meet many. Who I saw: Robyn and her Polar express Dute and the falcon Qtunna and the tunna Rachie and the mighty Bravo Kowboy and the commodore And that was about all I recognised, if anybody was wondering who I was? Well I was probably the only bloke there who didn't wash or polish the ute before the show (red ute in front of the judges tent). As for the categories they had: best 4x4 best bns/feral best modified best restored best chicks and best show (I think) The winners from what I remember/took notice of were: best 4x4 - Dodge (dodge this on the bug deflector) best bns/feral - Toyota landcruiser (bundyon) best modified - best restored - Xy/Xw I think (parked next to me) best chicks - Sheree Mizzi (cowgal plates) best show - I hope someone else can fill in the blanks | ||
