Bendigo BrUte Ute Competition
In conjunction with the Bendigo Agricultural Show

Saturday, October 27th 2007
Bendigo Showgrounds - entrance via Holmes Road end of the arena.

Entries strictly close 11:30am on the day, judging commences 12noon. Entries at gate prices and includes entry into one category, $10 unlimited others.

Catagories Include:
Street, Classic, Restored, B&S, Rural, Feral,
4x4, Hunting Rig, Trade & Chicks Classes

whos running it??

i ran it in 2006 with the rodeo, and thanks to the rodeo never got to do it again due to the crappyness of the rodeo events and everything beign canceled from then on...

have been wanting to get 1 up adn running with the bendigo show and was told it couldnt be done due to having no room for the event.

I've been organising it and have been trying to find out who used to do it, how come the rodeo has been cancelled indefinatley?

it wasnt canceled indefinatly, but cos of the big stuff up with the arena, alot of the events were canceled, the uteshow went great i made a heap of money for drout relief, but the rodeo had to give all teh money back to the spectators, and thry ran at a loss, because of that it was canceled this year.... i wasnt notified of anything and was suposed to be running the uteshow this year, when i never herd anything i didint bother organising the event..
lucky i didnt and took gut instinct cos the rodeo wasnt even on.

in 06 it was my first year running it, previously the iron bark trail rides were running it, then i herd they wernt doing it anymore, had a few meetings with them and took it over. had 18 catagorys and got 54 utes. wich was a good turn out for my first time.
I didnt have any help in organising anything and it was all ran out of my own money, wich wasnt too bad it was around $500 that went into the event, and i got my money back that i had outlaid whent he uteshow was ran from entry fees etc, then the rest was donated. Had to get my own sponcors, addvertising, right up all the catagorys and do the criterior for each one. then make a pamphlet for every1 entering saying who soncored what and what the criterior were, and had stickers and eartags for sale too.

If its the same weekend as the swapmeet thingo and the other ute show theres a fair chance sharpy and old sharpy will be there!

hey station hand, if u need a hand as well as rach let me know, i helped orgainse it the year before rach 2005 with that others for ironbark. sounds great an glad it has come back to bendigo!!!

hahahha yeah dazz i played DODGE THE PIGS on teh way home from work today...

goofa had the lights on his ute all of 1 day and got the pigs eyeing him off and pulled him over for a 'blow in this' kinda thing!
