| Re: REDNECK UTE CLUB Yer it might look ok, I wouldn't go pink at all but it's not my ute. I thought it was going to be a hard one to do, But if they could do it, it was going to be diffrent. Its up to what you want to do pinky, it will blend in with your seat and dash

| Re: REDNECK UTE CLUB Ho Hum, After driving half way across the country I finally made it home from the gympie music muster 2008 - I highly reccomend going but with a few reccomendations.... 1)At the start of your trip, Dont push your fuel gauge to 0, after you have been bragging how far you can drive for on 0. Murphys law - the ute runs out at 3klm to go on the freeway in peak hour traffic. 2)Always plan ahead and check the closing times for petrol stations in little country towns, otherwise youll be stuck there from 1am till 6am. And some mates dont appreciate 2am phone calls from euroa just because your bored and stranded. 3) If you decide to swag it at the truck stop, dont put your swag next to the oldest mack truck in the place, because when they start at 5am and you are NOT a morning person it just sets the tone for the remainder of the day. 4) If you are repacking and getting rid of all the red bull bottles in the ute at the truck stop particulary NSW, be VERY CAREFUL what you put on the ground next to the ute, because one minute its there and the next its dissapeared into the local natives hands, and that was the red bull bottles!! 4) Before arriving at the muster make sure you have good walking shoes, because like it or not your going to be doing alot of it at the muster, and its all uphill, and even after bundy it still hurts. 5) Watch the police in and around gympie they are like drop bears, they appear from nowwhere, at the most inappropriate moments. 6) FOOD i cant stress this enough - Dodgy little cafe's in QLD, IF THE FOOD LOOKS SUSS IT IS, i found out the hard way. 7)KEYS - always take a spare set to gympie, because if you are a highly organised individual like myself and you "temporarily misplace" your keys they are a b%$# to find in all the wood chips at muster especially after bundy!! 8) key point 7 also applicable to phone, wallet, handbags bundy cans etc etc. 9) When on the dance floor at crowbar, not good to be jumping up and down on the uneven wood chip surface when under the influence, the result is a busted knee the next day. 10) If a guy gives will not leave you alone at gympie(these QLDers are thick) they work well on a 3 warning system, email me for instructions.... 11) If you take alcohol, you can drink it in the camp area but not at the muster, if you buy drinks in the muster you cant take them to the camp ground, soo confusing these queenslanders. 12) While playing rod stewart at top noise at 5.30 am be warned, there is a grandma there who will get up and turn your ignition off and confiscate your keys (as happened to my camping neighbour). she was definitly NOT HAPPY JAN!! 13) On leaving gympie dont try and be a smart ass and avoid the toll's going through brisbane especially when you winged the entire trip with no map or GPS, you will end up at some forest gap place, which is north of south and the exact opposite of where you want to be!! well thats just some of the survival guide, but overall, gympie is awsome, the music fantastic, organisers and people are really friendly definitely will return. Just a little more prepared this time round... | |

Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Re: REDNECK UTE CLUB XR: you forgot the most vital tip of all!!!! THE LITTLE UTE THAT COULD: sometimes people in the city tend to opt for the most innaproperate vehicle moderfications such as "lowering". Please note, this can cause the vehicle to bottom out on speed humps that have been made in high leval traffic zones. A great suggestion for those people with lowered vehicles is to carry a shovel... so that you can dig around under the vehicle and gently rock it off the speed hump.
