Rep Power: 7 ![]() | Driving in the rain. Not that we've had an awful lot of that wet drippy stuff that comes from the sky..but when it does indeed rain, do you enjoy being out in it, or don't you like driving when it's wet 'n slippery? Dunno about other places in Oz, but here in Adelaide, our line markers have done a FANTASTIC job of 're-lining' all the roads. So when it's wet... you kind of get a bit confused about which line is which..which lane you should be in! Fun. ![]()

Rep Power: 3 ![]() | Re: Driving In The Rain Hmm Depends what sort of rain we are talking about - normal rain, bit of fun all good, Monsoon rain on the other hand - not much fun, everytime I get caught in it I curse myself for being too lazy to Rainx the windscreen |

Rep Power: 3 ![]() | Re: Driving In The Rain Darren I know Rodeos like going sideways around corners; braking is my solution to tailgating cars of any description; and if they hit my ute [they will have a very angry female driver[of ute] and a stuffed radiator after it sucks my towball and two large nuts holding it on.[scare tactics] and my crewcab is a styleside. Ps I absolutely hate driving in the rain; and last year in September ; I drove from Kempsey to Logan; and it was either raing pouring or spitting for the whole five hundred k's; I was knackered. |

| Re: Driving In The Rain driving in the rain is great..... if your windscreen wipers work propely, or your thrashing round the farm. but wen its pissin down, sheets of water across the road and such(almost forgotten what that looks like!!), and you turn your wipers on...... and they dont help, thats wen things get stressful. it might be worth noting that peter brocks advice in that situation was to drive faster and the water will be washed off your windscreen by the airflow. Me and a mate tried that last harvest in esperance....... and it didnt really help all that much, visibility was slightly better but the car was waterplaning like a mutherf***er. feel free to try it yourself tho.

Rep Power: 3 ![]() | Re: Driving In The Rain Don't mind driving in the rain. Since I moved to Vic havent had to worry about it so much though lol. When I was in WA though, there were a couple of times where it was raining so hard I could barely see and it was also at night which made it a LOT harder. I prefer to go driving AFTER it's rained. I know a few spots over in Bendigo where it gets real nice and muddy after decent rain...and lets just say I LOVE IT!!!!! and the car gets quite muddy/dirty hahaha
