Waving!

Isn't it great when you are driving your ute around, even in the city, someone will see your car and wave or raise there finger to you! Most days when I drive to work, at least three people will wave to me. I thinks its nice, typical Aussie mateship!

I've just moved for Rockhampton to the gold coast and the difference in "waving" is unbelievable the further south i got the less it happened and now that i'm at the goldie no-one waves (unless they are UTEZ members) but that all want a drag instead.

Yep, most people are always in a rush to work, they are usually frustrated, more concerned about dollars signs ... thank christ I am born and bred country!

One of the most waving drives, I've done, is as soon as you leave Port Augusta SA, heading north. Got to the point, I was gunna get one of those stick on hands, with a string,so I could wave from the steering wheel.

Yeah, I gets heaps driving in Country WA, and heaps of looks and honks in the city from Chicks, would'nt mind some Bonks though from some the nice chicks that honk me!

My mates and I used to take it in turns to wave on a road trip. Whoever got the least waves back had to buy the first round at the pub! Bizarre the things we do to occupy ourselves.

LOL...'tis true mate!! Im originally from the Mid north of SA,and we're known for our O.T.T waving!!! It's a sign of respect,and just sticking your finger up from the steering wheel is not that hard an effort...
I do it here too,like to think I'm educating the rest of the Country folk how to be more friendly.

What about across the Nullabor? Everyone waves cause you never know how long til you're gonna see another car! In Kalgoorlie most people know your cars so they'll wave if they know you...Its funny tho when I drive my best mate Trav's ute and people wave cause they see the car and numberplates but don't realise its not him!

Yeh whenever im driving country i wave at everyone, hardly ever have people wave back though, not unless its a country car. But i still give em the finger (no not the finger your thinking)
