Circle Work

I have a HJ with a red 202, trimatic and a banjo. Everything is standard... When doing circle work in a clock wise direction it just doesnt like it. It bogs down spits farts and carrys on. But in an anti clockwise direction it roars and you and can pull another gear...What the.

This is odviously a fuel problem...but why. Is it the way all the fuel goes in the tank..is it the way the fuel goes in the carby or just the crappy standard fuel pump doesnt like the way every thing is getting thrown around in a clock wise direction.

By the way the problem isnt that bad on dirt or grass as you dont need as much gas. But still does it a little. Mainly on wet roads etc as the peice of shit wont do jack on a dry road thats another problem all together hahahhaha

Has any one else had this problem??? I have only heard of this problem once before but it was a problem with nitrous when doing circle work. It also bogged down going clockwise. Not sure how he over come the problem.

Any ideas are greatly appreciated!!!

Re: Circle Work

Mine does that too, I think that when you go right you get excess fuel going through your carby which floods the motor. If your motor isn't tuned perfectly the spark isn't strong enough to burn it, which creates the bogging down. Last time mine did it I just kept it floored and after a few seconds it backfired and proceeded to rev hard and turned me around 180 degrees! oops. Funny that this topic seemed to come up when it is raining.

Re: Circle Work

The leads and plugs are not the old 10,000kms at the very most.....Maybe I should just get a V8 that would solve everything hhahhaha

Re: Circle Work

rusty, i tend to think your's is a fuel issue, can sometimes be float level, and which side of the float, the fuel feed is. Also, probly a new kit through the carby, would make heaps of difference.

If it does'nt miss 'n fart, when floored in a straight line, might not be the spark, but check 'em for sure.

If ya gunna do heaps of circle work, make it breath, get the best air and fuel filter you can.
Also, if you have room, add an independent thermo fan, which you can control, switch on/off manually.

You would only need the extra fan for circle work.

This helps with airflow when revving, while fairly stationary.

Saw a late model ute at Tamworth, chucking xlnt circles, only to break down thru over heating.

Just guessing here, not being able to hear it. hope it helps
