xf engine trouble

| xf engine trouble was woundering if any one can sort a problem out i have an XF with a 250 alloy head running staight gas, the problem is on a long trip i can use up 8 litres of oil put i dont use any around town, it had the head fixed on it over christmas can any tell me what the problem could be | |

| Re: xf engine trouble Well I was going to say head gasket, but you mention you've had that seen to. I know my mechanic said that the XF is prone to gasket leaks.. mine's been done a coupla times. Though I've never had massive amounts of oil leaking, just the odd drip. Perhaps get the head checked again? |

Rep Power: 4 ![]() | Re: xf engine trouble thats strange that you use no oil around town and 8 litres during country driving. is your engine covered in oil? noticed any leaks at all? what do your plugs look like after you do the long runs? the plugs will tell ya if your burning oil or not.
