Ute Musters & Drugs

Of all of the Ute Musters I have attended in WA, not once have I ever smelt that distinctive smell of Marijuana floating around in the air!

I thinks its a fantastic thing that people young and old are more interested in just having a few beers and rums or other thirst quenching beverages and just plain old partying.

Not saying drugs are there, but its just a good thing that the ute lovers don't need it to get a high at these musters

This is one of the reasons I prefer country people. I am one of the most anti drug people you will ever meet and I love being able to get on the piss and still be able to (sort of) hold a conversation (drunken slur?) with people. It disturbs me how peoples eyes just ain't right when they are off their heads. I can't talk to their face... does that make sense??

To southern belle i agree with ya!. I prefer the good old country get togethers. you here about the big day out and such concerts and its drugs this and drugs that! goes to show not many aussies have a sense of humour if they have to rely on drugs for em to have a good time. but I do also love getting on the piss a few shooters and beers will do me fine. at least there arnt any realy bad side affects when you drink except maby the ugly guys turn fine and the cute ones turn repulsive, thats why when your drunk dont jump in someone elses swag !

Nothin' like chewing your arm off in the morning!! I was 7 months pregnant and on the dance floor at 5am sober as a judge and everyone else wanted to go home! Has everyone lost their stamina nowdays??? If you have to snort shit to keep you awake maybe you should just go bed.

I know the feeling I was preg at boyup and the city musters last year, you dont have to drink or take drugs to have a good time! I think the atmosphere, music and good friends is enough of a high!

i was having this argument with one of the girls at work the other night. she had the opinion that drugs were better than alcohol because her friends dad was an alcoholic and used to beat her. very sad and very wrong, yes. but couldn't get through to her that drugs can be just as bad, if not worse at ruining people's lives even if in different ways. and least alcohol is still legal (for now anyway)

Hold on.... Before saying that kinda stuff, remember that not all drug users are homeless junkies that steal to get a hit. There are some people addicted that don't go public, some of your friends might be but you're never going to know until they decide to tell you and they reason they don't want to tell you is your views on drugs. I agree with SB and Catatak that country do's are sweet because there isn't the pressure, I know... To look at me you might think I indulged in the odd party drug once in a while but yes I was addicted to speed (SB knows, she saw me drop 7 kilo's in a week, but even she prob doesn't know the full extent) I got to the stage where I couldn't even have one alcoholic drink without having a line. I'm over it now because I'm out of the atmosphere that was tempting me, I still had respect the whole time tho, cause no-one ever really knew just how off my face I was all the time. Human Nature - Hide what's not perfect....
