Thorts About My New Ute.

Currently I have a XR6, but Im thinking about trading her for a XR8. (something about horsepower) but I think I have fallen for the B&S look, u know bullbar, lights, aerials etc. But the prob is (other than the bullbar issues) is that I still love the look of the nice clean lines of a street ute. (I know I have issues)
And the fact that they dont make the purple I like anymore, but Im working on that, well the ford guy is...

So whats the good/bad things bout a B&S ute?

Oh yeah, I cant have Bundy stickers on it, cause I dont like bundy.

Why change?Your rig looks good,just add the gear you like!!
Also think of the fuel costs.

you don't have to have bundy stickers on a B&Ser chick. just got to have stickers of some sort. looks like you need to start going to a few more balls though to get some.

Unless you are planning to show your ute, then it does not matter if you go half street/half BnS on your ute. Put on what you like.

can you afford to keep an XR8? I mean, fuel and rego prices are rediculous. if your xr6 does the job well, keep it, otherwise upgrade, nothing like a ford V8

I know, I know, the 6 is great, but Im wanting more. More torque more speed more power! Now I think Im wasting my time, but ever since i got it all I wanted was to supercharge the thing. Now Im like thats what i should do... supercharger, intercooler,throttle body, flash tuner, full exhaust, XR8 bonnet etc etc. All that is worth bout the same as the 8. The stuff that I put on it doesnt matter yet, its just the eng size that has me sleepless. And the colour. The new purple is similar to the old, which is what i have, but the new has a bit more plum-ie look to it, it is nice tho... not as good as the Phantom.

What the hell is wrong wit me?

Hey Jikki girl - know how you're feeling - feel the same about my Holden.. So my thoughts are if you want one and you can afford it GO FOR IT. You only live once and if you don't you'll always be thinking "If only I bought that new XR8..."

Aah come on go easy - it's a very important decision. But to be honest I don't think anything anyone says here is going to make much of a difference to your decision.

I know, but it is all making me think about the variables involved. I think the colour is slowing my desicion down, i just dont like the new colours as much as my purple.

guys i have a new xr8 and have friend in all honesty a a bloke who likes to be apart of maintanence
they are beautiful cars ok but ur far better of not getting into the trap where u need highly specialized equiptment to service work on a car the more efi stuff u have on a car the more bucks u are up for if u want power dump a turbo on the keep it of look at a carby type motor these new utes mabe be nice but there sure not reliable as the old holdens ok
in my oppinyon i believe that there is no point tryin to get an xr8 ute spend ur cash on somthing more productive like a block of land because one u gt the new 8cyl it will cost u big dollars $$$$%$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ if u want to get ford ute ull be wasting $
