Getting Ute Ready for a Show/Muster - Page 2

in my old rodeo.....
usually check the fuel and fill up the oil,
make sure there is mud in the radiator (if theres water in it then consider it a bonus),
make sure that rooted turbo is spooling up
jiggle the radio around so it makes contact with the plug
check that the tyres are only flat on the bottom and nowhere else
put some more ally foil under those fuses so the headlights work
and bugger off over to the other side of the country (man i hated that holden rodeo!!!)

in the mighty cruzz.... chuck in the esky, chuck in the swag....turn on the aircon (gotta love 40 series aircon's that little flap infront of the door) fire her up and go... (i love havin a reliable ute)

i do the hole couple of hours cleaning the ute thing, makes it all worth it in the end, iv done everything on my ute my self and i take pride in showing it off. i dont pay people to do it for me. my utes an everyday driver and get sandblasted with stones on the dirt everyday of the week but when it comes show day it gets a big birthday and even my utes been accused of being a ute that lives in a shed and only comes out at shows, its mainly the people that are to lazy to get of their AR$S's and make their ute look good. then they complain that the polished ute took home a trophy and not theirs....

arrrrrr the joys of ute shows........

check swag aint been nicked from under the tonneau
fill esky with rum and ice.

fill fuel and go... i dont usually wash my vehickles... they get dirty gettin there anyway

I usually look at a good half a day to detail for a show, always top to toe, inside and out. Wash, polish, vac etc. Once there it gets another going over to get rid of travel dust.

still learning about this whole cleaning thing but considering chicks is judged on?? actually i dunno what chicks is REALLY judged on- i suppose i better clean it - miracle i polished the damn thing today (just to make sure there was white paint under there ) and there are no ute shows for ages

Believe it or not i spend up to 5 hours detailing my ute , wash , pollish , wax , then armourall the tounea , tyres , and trim , then pack the fridge with Jimmy Beam ,get the swag and flags and go get the fuel

What sort of ute you got mate? if its a feral, leave it as it is lol. just bring the rum and flags.

i clean the inside and give the ol' girl a wash if i can be bothered a quick polish, i dont think i have ever washed the engine bay, but i always get smart arses commenting on how clean it is and how its nice to see a ute that gets used.
