Rep Power: 2 ![]() | I WAS THINKING ABOUT IT TODAY, AS I GOT MY UTE BACK FROM THE DOCTOR. AM I TOO OLD FOR THE UTE SCENE? I REMEMBER THERE BEING PEOPLE OLDER THAN ME ON THE SCENE, NOW I HAVNT MET MANY. I AM 30 YES, I AM THAT OLD. I WAS SPEAKING TO A GIRL TODAY AND SUGGESTED IT TO HER AND SHE AGREED WITH ME. MABIE I AM TOO OLD! HOW OLD ARE YOU? I AM THINKING OF PACKING IT IN AND SELLING THE UTE AND BUYING A CAR! ALOT OF PEOPLE I HAVE SPOKEN TO LATELY ARE LIKE 17 YEARS OLD AND HERE I AM TALKING ABOUT B&S BALLS THAT ARE EXTINCT.ALL MY MATES ARE HAVING FAMILIES AND GETTIN MARRIED! I THINK IT MIGHT BE TIME TO GROW UP LIKE EVERYONE SAYS. I DONT EVEN KNOW IF EMU EATERS IN SWANHILL IS STILL AROUND(USED TO BE THE BEST OF THE YEAR) OR POONCARRIE NSW. I DONT GO TO B&S'S ANYMORE AS YOU CAN PROBABLY TELL, ONLY BECAUSE I SPEND MOST OF MY TIME AT RODEO'S AND MUSTERS. I WENT TO ARIA PARK 2 YEARS AGO AND EVERYONE WAS LIKE 21 YEARS OLD! IS IT ONLY ME WHO REALISES THIS? OR AM I JUST AGE SCARED! I AM UPSET THINKING ABOUT LEAVING THE UTE SCENE, BUT I DONT KNOW IF ITS FOR PEOPLE MY AGE ANYMORE! I HAVE BEEN GOING TO B&S' SINCE I WAS 16 (NOT DRINKING). I NEED SOME FEEDBACK ON THIS! IF I DO TOSS IT IN I WILL HAVE A HEAP OF STICKERS FOR SALE(GOT HEAPS OF EM,BUT DONT WANNA PUT EM ON YET) AND OTHER STUFF! CHEERS TO YOU ALL. TONK |

| Re: HOW OLD IS TOO OLD FOR BEING IN THE UTE SCENE Don't you dare chuck it in Tonk! I'm 28 and I too feel like an old hag at some of these things now, I actually hung up the ball shirt 3 and a half years ago - but got dragged out of the "closet" again a couple of months back and I don't know why I ever gave them up! The day you'll be too old for the ute scene is the day that you are no longer physically able to drive a ute, if you still want to be involved. Don't give up!

Rep Power: 2 ![]() | Re: HOW OLD IS TOO OLD FOR BEING IN THE UTE SCENE THE UTECLUB I WAS IN FOLDED AGES AGO AND MY MATES HAVE MOVED ON WITH THEIR LIVES, I DONT REMEMBER IT BEING THIS TOUGH! WHEN I WAS IN VICTORIA I COULDNT GET TIME TO MYSELF, NOW BEING NEW TO TOWN AND PEOPLE BEING UP THEMSELVES HERE, I AM GOING INSANE! THE LOOKS I GET WHEN I WEAR MY OLD UTECLUB SHIRT( I MAY BE A CHICK, BUT WASHING SUCKS SO THE OLD CLOTHES COME OUT) THEY LOOK AT ME LIKE I JUST TOOK A DUMP IN THE STREET AND CHARGED EM TO LOOK AT IT! EVERYONE HERE THAT DRIVES A UTE IS JUST ABOVE PUBERTY. I HOPE I CAN GET PAST THIS! I REALLY DO, THE BEST MATES I HAVE EVERHAD HAVE BEEN UTERS, RURALS OR B&SE'RS. |

| Re: HOW OLD IS TOO OLD FOR BEING IN THE UTE SCENE In Deni?! That's disturbing. Eff 'em, just be yourself! I was working in Melbourne with a bunch of yuppies who decided I needed to be girly, so I grew the hair, started wearing jewellery and nice clothes, but they could not win on the ute and they never would have. I had one girl actually try to sell it for me, NOT FOR SALE LOVE! They thought that because they won on the other stuff that they'd eventually win that issue too. NEVER! Christ Tonk, it's just over 2 hours to Bendigo - get your butt down here now and come to Lake Bolac with us tomorrow! You'll see us oldies who refuse to give up!

Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Re: HOW OLD IS TOO OLD FOR BEING IN THE UTE SCENE im 24, ive been thinking latley... when am i going to be too old for the ute scene? i need a life outside of the ute world, i need to save for a house, need and keep thinking, should i settle down with a guy and do the whole kids thing at the age of 30? i figured i have 5 years left to make the decision and take action. At the moment im still trying to live the utescene, although i did say that i was goign to slow down on the B&S thing, and yeah i still hope to, im at the stage where i do have to priotitise. although... i had my 25th not long ago where my mum became more of the life of the party than i did.. ive been told i have to take her to Elmore B&S. shes well into her 50's and is goign to get her B&S cherry well adn truley popped.... and so yeah, Tonk, your not too old.
