Re: What makes a country ute....country

Well it does depend on the judges aswell what they thing is each type and half the time there not sure,
One simple senario was the camperdown ute show they gave a prize for a work/rural ute how has a show ute that would never have had any thing thrown in it or on it and also ute thats have stickers all over it and it has never been to a bns, aeriels that are on the ute that aren't connected i carn't work it out i ask the same question

Re: What makes a country ute....country

I think what makes a ute country is what it has ie bullbar for roo protection, uhf for out back communication, driving lights as we generally get up in the dark or get home in the dark due to long distances out in the country, rear flaps for protection on country gravel roads and most importantly where it is registered. There are two many urban cowboys with to much money that do up a ute to have it sittin there doing nothin all week then bam weekend and its at a show and it has probally been up stuff all dirt roads in its life.

Re: What makes a country ute....country

country ute in my opinuion doesmt need a bull bar but needs spotties earials etc but a bns ute must have bns ball stickers that you have attended not someones stickers also i think there scould be a limit of 5 bns stickers b4 it can be called bns ute at comps and must be visable thats my two cent

Re: What makes a country ute....country

you just need to drive around the cities to define a country ute from a city ute, the city ones are all polished and clean, no dings, street machine types and the real country ones are dirty, dents and scratches, decked out to represent the owner and designed to go anywhere!

Re: What makes a country ute....country

Homer I agree about bns utes and minimum of stickers. A ute is not a bns ute UNLESS IT HAS BEEN TO A BNS! Just coz there's stickers from every other place - pubs/shops/companies/labels etc, does not mean its a bns ute.
