I dont think 5 posters and other bullbars should be banned.. I have had on my last 2 cars a 5 poster on each and i must say that i never had trouble with mine on my sedan back east in the 4 odd years that it was on the car but as soon as i come to WA i get knicked for it... My argument is that when i was back east i was working around city areas and heading out bush on weekends whether it may have been a rodeo, a muster, a BNS and the country k's clocked up a lot more than the city k's did. Meanwhile i didnt ever hit anything except a wombat but if i was to be unlucky enough to actually score a roo or such then the car would end up with so much more damage. Now i dont condone people using their cars or 4wd's as weapons that do have bars on them but why should the ones who do the right thing get penalised for doing what they enjoy or just even protecting their vehicles.. In a lot of cases it is unfair but i can see the other side of the line and personally i dont think they should be banned, i know in my case that i will continue to have a bar on my ute...

perfect example on the weekend of the red bull air race. i was controlling the emergency access only on angelo and coode in south perth.

a few of the coppers in that side of the river used it as a post/meeting point.


the amount of pedestrians that had been done for jay-walking that day was horrific and the government cant see what we mean about pedestrians being a hazard and not the bullbars. if you get hit either way your screwed same as if you walked in front of a truck!!!!

I agree with you all; as my wife[Pegasus] and I have three utes between us; My XC has 2 poster Holden Bullbar, which was engineered to fit on my XC; Rough Justice [Spacecab] has the Crewcab's old 4 poster on it[nothing gets wasted around here] and Pegasus [The wife's Crewcab has a 5 Poster on it]. All the Bullbars were 2nd hand [RJ's 3rd hand] and all are polished. We wouldn't be without them specially as we now live in Roo country; and when I go to Brissie; I'll usually take RJ; and pedestrians will always jaywalk; but they'll be the first to whinge if anyone hits them; bullbar or no bullbar.

NO they shouldnt ban bullbars in the rural and country towns, there not really needed in the big city, and i dont see our pollies doing any country driving, and if there cars get damaged we pay to fix them anyway, so i say leave the bullbars on and it may save a car or a life as i live in a rural area i know whats its like to hit an animal so if we could start making the pollies repair there own damage then they would know that having a bully on does help

Yeah; You guys are right; if the pollies had to pay for damage after an animal hit them, [well that's how the pollie'd see it; lol]; they might grow a brain in the states where they are banned. A few months ago I was coming back from Peranga, Roo Country ++; and hit a Small one at slow speed; I was in Ruff Justice at the time; no panel/radiator damage and RJ's only got a 4 poster.

It would be interesting to see how many peoples have been hurt (killed), with a bull bar, compared with those from a reversing vehicle?
