Instead of taking away the bullbar's which help to protect the vehicle AND also the occupants from animal strike, why dont they educate people on how to cross the road safely??? For example. Here in Bendigo I see SSSSOOOOO many people crossing the road (mainly the busy highways) further down then the designated crossing, ie the traffic lights. It's ridiculous. When it would just be easier and safer to cross at the lights instead they are 20 or 30m away from them and cross there!! STUPID PEDESTRIANS

Matty and Fuzzyevil; I don't think half the adults are taught where to cross the road; this morning turning left into a main[4 lanes] road from another 4 lane road I nearly hit a pedestrian; but because I was driving accordingly[or taking it easy as I saw the idiot]; hubby said something to him; and he just abused us[keeping in mind I've got a large 5 poster on my Rodeo. I nearly collected another jaywalker on a main road in Sunnybank as well; so I think some ads about jaywalking need to be done in Queensland; anywhere else??? |

Rep Power: 2 ![]() | Re: Bullbars....Confusion Reins!!!! Hello All! I have attached two pictures of my boyfriends ute. As you can see one is a yellow sticker. the reason i post this thread is to ask your opinion on the bullbar... the reason for the yellow sticker is because the bull bar is a 5 poster. 5 poster bullbars in WA are too aggressive and are therefore illegal. Now i'm not sure about you but we can only count 3 posts???

| Re: Bullbars....Confusion Reins!!!! Apparently Bullbars now have to be angled back (over the bonnet drecting anything through the windscreen) at least 5 degrees and can no longer be just vertical... hense why Irvin bars are now "illegal" and getting stickered. Guess it's just the govt. changing their mind again to eventually phase out all frontal bar work. How they don't see the accidents are generally caused by a stupid pedestrian's got me beat.

The pits agreed finally that it was a 3 poster, not a 5 poster. arguing with the cop that pulled him over till he was blue in the face wasn't going to help the situation. This cop wanted to put a sticker on the car regardless. Since his incident we have heard of a fair few other utes getting yellow stickers for the same reason. some for extras like clearance lights, side skirting etc. Now he trys not to drive the car too much incase he gets pulled over again. It is a huge hassle, all for a bullbar that is supposedly legal and up to australian standards??
