been called up twice one on fraud case and one on violent assualt case fraud case was boring the way the baristors operated on the assualt case was interesting twice you say awell im an oldie

they get your name off the election roll, i've hav 6 summons's and im only 20! i havent turned up to a single one and i have never been fined for it either ! i sent a letter saying due to the fact that i am self employed i can not attend as it would prove to costly to close my office for the day they said to me they will pay me $25 a day i said to them lets start talkin from $150 an hour and i might think about it,,still didnt go and still no fine i think thats its absolute crap the fact that they cal call me up so many god damn times! my dad once suggested that maybe if i go they will stop sending me letters .... WHAT EVER! good luck rousy

Yeah I got called up once, got the letter in the mail, but mine was for jury duty in Ballarat, but at the time i lived in Gippsland, near Trafalgar so yeah I got out of it. I would have liked to have done it just to see what it was like!

I've never been called, but hubby has a few times, He's never actually made it into the court room though.

been called up twice lost money each time protested about the first loss fell on death ears.Attended the second time got picked on the jury nearly had a sleep it was time wasting and boring .A bloke drive from servo with out paying could have fined him out of court and let life go on .
