Free to good home

Free to good home:
Kelpie x Blue Heeler, Black and tan, 1 yr old.

Russ is great with other dogs, children and people. Unfortunately he has taken a liking to chickens and we live down the road from a free-range chicken farm!!

This house doesn’t have a yard, and it’s cruel to keep him on the chain all day but Mr Chicken Farm man will shoot him if he sees him kill anymore of his chickens!!

Shows potential with cattle, he’s extremely eager and would go a long way in the right hands.

I can email photos and answer any questions. He is a really goodlooking dog, with a great personality!

Please, if you know of anyone that could provide a loving home with a secure yard for Russ, (or no chickens!) please contact me. 0419 301 927. I’m from Ballarat but I can organise to drop him off, meet half way etc.

Re: Free to good home

Cheers Caitlyn!
Those dog containment systems are a great idea....Problem is the chooks are free-range and actually come into my yard whenever they like! Stupid, stupid chookies lol

Re: Free to good home

Well if the chooks are coming into YOUR yard then thats HIS problem not yours!!!
Why is it ok for his chooks to wander, but not your dog?!

Re: Free to good home

Yeah I know!

But Mr Chicken Farm man is the landlord's son! This place is cheap rent, very close to my cattle and work so I don't really want to get on their bad side! Houses around this area rarely come up for rent as well, so I have to stick it out.
