I've spent the whole day trying to find the exact same thing, I've finally found a product.

These Tents come in a compact pouch that will fit behind your Ute seat. They have a full built-in floor, so if you are setting up in a wet Ute the inside of the tent remains dry. There are four windows, each with a zip shutter and fly screens. The D shaped door also zips shut and also has it's own fly screen. When the weather is wet there is a fly cover to go over the whole structure (see above left), but when the weather is good the Tent can remain uncovered (above right).

This is USA's top selling pickup truck Tent which has been specially manufactured to fit Aussie Utes……

Goto www.blueys.com.au NOT www.blueysute.com.au. They're the same company, but for some reason, the ute tent isn't listed on the latter.

$199 and $15 shipping to Brisbane.
