specifications on tail lights, indecators and reversing lights.

The times well and truley come for these damn lights i hve to do on the ute, although ive been having problems with the set up of them.
Ive checked out VIC ROADS laws and vehicle spec's for a distance that the breaklights have to be from the side of the vehicle, the indecators and reverse lights etc.
I have all the paperwork but cant find in there where is specifies this, ive checked on the net and its exactly the same as the paperwork i got from Vic roads, they have just printed it for me off the website.
Ive also asked at vicroads what are the specifications and nobody can answer me, although ive been told by 3 people that there is some kind of law.
Its not just a simple standard replacing of the lights im doing, its a whole back end, possibly a couple of grand's worth of lights so i dont wanna have to just take them off after the works been done if i end up getting another canary or if the cop's want to have a good winge.

Is there anyone who knows a bit more about the specky's that you have to abide by in reference to tail lights?

please help!

rach.

I just bought a truck LED setup, all the lights are in one for ya. then i had the local engineer weld a checkerplate plate to the bottom of my tray basically where the origanal lights were and the lights just screwed straight onto that. and connected into the original wiring. Reverse light just mounted in next to one of them. only needed one cos its so damn bright.

as long as its obviousy what the lights are ment to indicate and are clearly visable from all angles behind the vehical you shouldn't have any worries, just keep it simple and you'll be right.

as for all the measurments in the vic roads ADR's, just read the writing dont look at the pictures because not even vic road officers/inspectors care about tail light measurments.

narva have sponcored me and given me all their new products, so its a mix of syndicating indicators (the arrow ones) the new break lights and the new reverse lights... so yeah theres 8 to go on as well as the light for the number plate and the clerence lights... so unfortunatly not as simple as scewing them on. wish it was though, its giving my the shits.
