i have a pair of stacks im just wondering if anyone out there knows if it will be a simple task of boring a hole in each side to fit 2inch 2 1/1 inch sports exhaust also the stacks are 5 inch slant cutoffs with a metal plate welded on the bottems(bolted to floor) hopefully i can plasma cut a hold in there bottoms to fit normal exhaust to. also back pressure i should be rite with just the cat and one box??? any help hints anything will be great thanks

thats how they sit atm but im trying to figure out either to move the fuel tank or just come up under drivers side with a twin exhaust along the bottem of tray up into the stacks. i know ill lose a bit of space by doin this but really who cares!!

any ideas?????

just found out i cant move tank cos its moulded into the shape to fit excatly were it is and cant move over as the tail shaft hump is in between the two sides. i may have to bring my sports exhaust 2 or 2 1/2 cant remmber through floor at the centre of tray and split it to either side run along ontop of body and bend to fit into stacks that way. ive got a bloody macintosh computer (dont have paint) so i cant draw a picture of what i mean but i will try post someting later

anymore ideas or am i going in the rite direction????

Could you run it up through the Sills? or only run one to the drivers side and have the other as a dummy?

Just remember that in a monocoque constructions putting any big holes in the body can cause you alsorts of structural problems.

thanks matt but if run one up thro floor and split, one run either way to stacks along the tray. i will not be cuting into any of the body( maybe just some of tin undercarrige ) thats y im sorta wanting pics storys of how its been done on other utes.

yeah i have just bought a new two way clacker value so i can use either the stacks or normal sports exhaust. ill keep ya posted on me progress

you'll have big licencing issue's if ya cut holes in the floor of ya tray, not sure how you'd go about getting it sorted without being a HUGE headache , probably come up as one pipe and split it once its in your tray then put some mesh across behind the setup so ya don't cook the gear in the back of your ute, you'll probably want to mount them so they're not bolted to the bed of the ute aswell

yeah since old Southern Comforts stacks had steel plates welded to bottems i will bolt to floor and side mount the exhaust coming thro floor but i kow wat u on about. only bring exhaust thro floor and split to 2 sides plus heat sheild thanks

nah well it actualy works beta 4 me rather the put exhaust in from under now ill do it side exhaust

ive got a quote over the phone 250 plus for all pipe work and labour. to bring exhaust thro floor then split to each side or stacks. also anther 250 300 for a part to come from usa so i can use normal exhaust or stacks. like a choke cable shut one or the other off

thats just one of the stacks 3 foot tall plus the steel plate welded to bottems i think i may do it the same as coomby did his triton. sorry man to steal ya ideas but your it just simple and easyer to do then wat i had pictured. did you have anything on your triton that you would have maybe done different?? also more ideas wont go astray

that is exactly how i'd put them on your rig mate, and ya definately need the flexies undernieth , you'll get a better sound feeding them in the bottom to, works like a big megaphone , i drove mine with the bottom half of the system on only, before i put 3" to 4" expanders on to suit the stacks and it was heaps louder with the noise funneled up into the stack like that

same setup im buildin for me hilux, with the 'y' divider up into 5 inches tho. whats that box thing its comin out of? havent got one of them, sounds alot nicer and will be better when i get the stacks on

hey bundy fuelled if ya talking bout the round cylnder rusty coloured thing be4 it goes into tray, it just a bit of flexi tubing to take some of the vibration/ movment out of the system
