Re: Two way radios

the prob might be no one really uses (27mhz) am cb anymore as the range is line of sight and not very long you need to know someone close to test it

Re: Two way radios

yea i give that a try and still nothing. im starting to think its either the outer sheithing on the cable, or maybe the power feed to my radio, cos its a uniden twin band one. and the uhf doesnt get as good a range as the old sundowner sitting next to it. the old boy had a AM CB in his old fourby when he was in sydney and reakons he used to listen to people in NZ chattin away merryly..

Re: Two way radios

i was able to hear guys from nz as well a couple of years ago when i had a am radio but it had the side band setup with it, the stand plain am radios don't work that good you need the ones with side band.

Re: Two way radios

If you want good reception on your am run a black wire from the outer cable not the inner cable on the bottom of the base to the negitive of your battery or on the body of your car, works really really well
