Rep Power: 0 ![]() | hey every one. i will be turning 18 in a coupple of weeks and i am looking at buying a ute and doing it up into a bns ute. i would like some of ideas on model and year of some utes that would be a good starter. i would like it to be a cheap as possable but money doesnt really matter. thanks for your help |

Rep Power: 1 ![]() | Re: need help selecting a ute howdy mate my advise is to look at a ute thats going to be practal for a start like if ya gunna do lots of bush drivin i suggest a 4wd but if ya wanna get somthin cheap try lookin at the old hz, wb,hq holden utes or somthing like that coz u can start from scratch wif them but they can be a headache at times once its done up ya laughin but in the end u pick out somthin u like or catches ya eye cheers Ally ![]()

| Re: need help selecting a ute all depends on what you like i picked my hz ute up for $3500 its only done 210'000km since the motor was rebuilt as ally said the hz and wb would be the way to go easy to get parts for them too at the wreckers

lol not easy to get parts when ya live in Mt Isa lol lol, hell it takes a couple of weeks to get parts coz if ya buy in town you pay a fortune, theres no wreckers up here!!!! ![]()

Rep Power: 2 ![]() | Re: need help selecting a ute it all depends what ya like mate if ya like the old holdens then they are always good but if you prefer a newer ute such as a vs or an au they are always good for reliability and fuel economy then again ya can't go past something like a hilux its all about personal choice mate whatever ya get remember the newer the car the better reliability you will have as a general rule\

As has been stated chances are an old ute will not be as reliable but you also get what you pay for. In the end tho it has to be what you want not what someone else says to buy
