Rep Power: 1 ![]() | Maybe a stupid questions, but it's getting confusing... I have standard 15 Goodyear cargo's and have been told by tyrepower they should be on 40, tyres say test 55psi, ute door says 32. i usually keep them around 35-40. So... is there a simple answer?

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Re: Tyre Pressure Yeah mate, thats coz its a ute and got bugger all weight over the rear wheels, and more psi in the tyres makes it worse. Cheap tyres are worse also. Besides, tyring to control the rear of a ute in the wet is half the fun........making it slide is the other half |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Re: Tyre Pressure I had to make a rushed stop in a Hino on the Great Western Highway in the Blue Mountains in the wet, back end tried to overtake the front, full lane of traffic beside me.......didnt hit anyone but was kind of fun in an 'i just filled my pants' kind of way |

Rep Power: 1 ![]() | Re: Tyre Pressure where i am theres 1 particular roundabout near one of the schools, doesnt matter which way u come onto it, it has flat spots and paint markings, in the wet you're guaranteed 100% to slide out.

| Re: Tyre Pressure Whats usually stamped on the tyre is max cold pressure inflation and as was said earlier thats fine with no load but the second u chuck a fair bit of weight in the back thats when the tyre will get hot very quickly and if you've got a fair bit of a trek ahead of ya it'll only get hotter and lead to a blow out Ive been told to stay 10 to 15 psi under the cold max but at the end of the day if you want the question solved ring either your local tyre fitter or the manufacturer and they should be able to sort you out | |
