FARMER WANTS A WIFE

Single Farmers,

Please read!

Hi Billy,

I thought I would pass on the attached Media Release in case you feel it is relevant to any of your members. We're looking very hard for farmers who are looking for love, and I'm pretty sure there would be a few on your member list!

It's a really fun program and we're very keen on reaching as many prospective single farmers as possible. Applications close very soon, so if you're at all able to spread the word, that would be fantastic!
Any questions, please feel free to contact me by return email.

Thanks so much for your time.

Best wishes,

Wendy Hanna

THE FARMER WANTS A WIFE <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

CALLS FOR

FARMERS LOOKING FOR LOVE

Following the overwhelming viewer response to the recent series of The Farmer Wants A Wife in 2008, the Nine Network and FremantleMedia Australia are now casting farmers for the much-anticipated third series.

Life is tough for men on the land – they face not only the drought, but terrible isolation. It’s almost impossible for farmers to meet the woman of their dreams.

The Farmer Wants A Wife is offering some of Australia’s most eligible farmers a solution to their ‘love’ problem and the chance to be a part of the third series. This might be their opportunity to meet their soul mate and find true love.

The Farmer Wants A Wife will see a dozen farmers profiled on a website and through a series of events – web-chat, speed-dating, bush dance, country stays and city escapes – they will be reduced to six couples.

The ultimate goal is finding true love just as our series one favourites Chris and Kim did, who tied the knot earlier this year in a romantic ceremony in Tamworth. Ben and Sarah, our lovebirds from series two, have hinted there may be wedding bells in the not too distant future, but wait there’s more … Rob and Jo also felt the ping of cupid’s arrow and we suspect there is more exciting news ahead from Mt Gambier, proving that the farmer really can find a wife.

The Farmer Wants A Wife is a feel-good story of love and romance. This is not a competition. There's no prize money and the only winner in the end... is LOVE. We simply follow the story of Australian farmers meeting new women, exploring new relationships and trying to find their soul mate.

We are searching nationally for real farmers aged between 25 and 45 who are looking to meet their one true love. Bachelors must be working farmers, be it grazier, dairy, citrus, oyster, etc.

Interested men should drop an email with an introduction to:

Re: FARMER WANTS A WIFE

I was just wondering about the poor country female population actually.
I heard recently on the radio that there are more women than men in oz so really it would make sense if there was something for the girls lol.

Farmer wants a... husband?

The reality show which has proved a huge hit for Channel Nine over the last two years, has been helping hard-working men on the land meet the lady of their dreams, but the third series will see a female farmer also getting the chance to find love on the small screen.

Joining the boys this time will be one of two hard-working country girls looking for mister right.

The femme farmer hopefuls - Shona, 26, and Jenny, 32 - both work on their respective family's cattle farms and aren't shy about getting stuck into the hard work.

Farmer Shona describes herself as an easygoing perfectionist who combines strength and sophistication, but doesn't mind getting a bit silly sometimes. She's looking for a man who's comfortable with himself, emotionally and physically strong and he must respect her. Oh, and he'll also need to be fine with " hard work, extreme heat, blood, dirt and poo."

Farmer Jenny is back on the family farm after seeing the world, and has even had a book she wrote published in Norway. Jenny's open-minded about the kind of man she wants - as long as he's down-to-earth and willing to adapt to life on the farm she reckons they might have a shot.

Applications open online on Monday for potential suitors, so head over to the The Farmer Wants a Wife website to find out more about the girls and check out the seven boys who are also hoping to find their special someone.
