I prefer a manual, but my WB's an auto. The body was immaculate and it only had 130,000 on the clock when I bought it 3 years ago, so I had to sacrifice something I guess... When I picked it up it was pretty much the first time i'd driven an auto after driving a manual for the first 5 years of having my licence, and i jammed my foot on the brake when i was reversing thinking i needed the clutch in to change gears..lol..talk about whiplash.. my dad saw me do it and was standing on the footpath pissing himself laughing.. it took me a good week to break the habit of going to put the clutch in ;-)
Ive got the old girl in storage back in VIC and am driving an auto hatchback while im in WA.. miss driving a manual, but miss having my ute with me even more :-(

Manual all the way my first car was a manual then that got smashed up then i had two Auto's before i got the Ute and when i got the ute a made sure it was a manual before i brought it, auto's make me feel lazy plus i love changing the gears lol

I had manuals when I was a young fella,wouldn't be caught dead in an auto.Now that I'm older its an auto,and now you can get 5 & 6 speed auto's.

gotta be a manual. although if your really lazy like all my mates, they get their auto licence and have no idea how to drive a manual, so if they ever neeed to drive a manual car there buggered

Manuals all the way!! I just bought a VR s pack with a 5 speed 5 ltr!! bit heavy on the left foot especially when stuck in peek hour traffic.. Auto's are good for towing but that's about it.

Manuals are great fun in the wet and on the dirt road.....
