i would rather drive a manual anyday, i have owned 29 cars and only 2 of them were auto, i like the feeling of control you have in a manual

yea my first unlicenced car that was a subaru brumby with a manual, followed by 2 manuals, then 2 autos. now ive got a sequencial shift auto ba ute, i had to train myself up on the auto with the engine noises b4 i used the manual option to change gears. at 30000 on the clock i blew up the radiator and gearbox in one go launching a way from the lights. good thing the warranty was still valid. i drive a 8 tonner with a 6 speed sinchromesh manual so it is pretty easy to drive anyway. i will have to buy a bf xr8 manual to play with one day, like my truck you can keep in each gear for as long as you want for overtaking and the like.lol.

I was a diehard Manual girl....Until I got my new ute!

My Crewman's Auto is fantastic! I can pull a heavier load and I've got better fuel economy than a manual.

The Inlaws have just bought a New Hilux Turbo Diesel Auto and apparently it is a dream to drive.

The new Autos today are a huge improvement to the Autos in the 70's, 80's and early 90's.

It's also awesome to drag at the lights!!

Mmmmm My Crewman's V6 Auto......Heaven to drive!!

The old holden 3.8L V6 first debuted in a Buick back in the 60s....and the gearbox is an old world box that has been given a few faced lifts too.....

When you have had to change gears because of every rise in the ground, and not having just 4 gears but depending on the vehicle, upto 20 in combination, you soon get sick of changing gears after 15 yrs....
Play with your manuals now, when your older you may have to get an auto only, i have got to that point, and yes autos are not perfect but neither are manuals when you cant push a clutch in....lol....

Autos do make V8's sound better, especially when just loading up at slow speed...Go rumble the V8's....lol....

As a truck driver i wouldn't have it any other way but driving a manual. If you drive an auto your lazy. With the amount of gear changing that i do in a day i dont have any problems.

MIne is a bloody AUTO.. but when i went to look at it it was the sound of it and the look of it that got me in, i didnt care what it was lol.. Wish it was a 5 speed thou.. ya kinda get used to changin gears in the tractors and farm utes .. so when ya get into ya ute the hands always restin on the stick, even thou she's an auto! habbit i guess lol

manuals are the go for my ute cos im always towing a fuel or welder trailer around the farm and they are just more fun i reckon ..

my xf ute is auto but i use the shift kit around the city and d for drag out on the open highway.

The shift kit is good when u roll up at a muster and the sound that comes out.

i tried to drive manual but it just wont sink in.
so Auto for me fellas

I grew up driving manuals and really do prefer them to autos ...
My ute is auto and it does make life easy around town and out on the highways.

Personally I feel a lot safer driving manuals on dirt/gravel roads .... more in control, I tens to get a bit out of control in the auto
