| Re: Auto Or Manual? Manual all the way for me, my next ute is goin to be another later model cruiser, but it's goin to be White, Diesel and have stacks, I couldn't get the great sounds with an Auto, i'd never like to drive an auto, but if i had to i would.

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Re: Auto Or Manual? Towin' horses in an Auto is definately an advantage as yer can legally tow more and when caught in city traffic [which i'm useless at anyway *haha* Too many street lights] it is easier when it's bumper to bumper. Plus I can eat my Maccas on long trips with my spare hand *hehe* I prefer the control of a manual ..... and the way you can make the exhaust sound better. Overall choice -> Manual |

Exactly! Well said. Nothing worse than being in a stop go stop stop situation towing a float - and makes it all the more easier to eat take away grub seeing as you can't really pull up for 20mins and have maccas wth a float on! But then for control and sound - manual. Overall - depends on the vehicle!

| Re: Auto Or Manual? i've always had autos, The xf's an auto and it will still let loose on a gravel road, it has a manaul diff, but the work ute is a hilux and i must say it fells good to slow down with the gears instead of hopping the brakes pull you up, in traffic in makes no different to me, out on the open road the same, but to with give me an auto any day | |

Rep Power: 4 ![]() | Re: Auto Or Manual? The first car i drove was a hq column manual, then a 4 speed xf, then an xf auto now an xg 5 speed. I'd have to say I prefer pushing the gears myself in a manual.
