I understand what Gem and a few of the othersa mean about putting people off, but it doesn't deter too many people from other ute clubs so why not.

i kinda agree with gem on this one. it is a club now that everyone is a part of and the merchandise is available there to purchase for anyone now.
there are all sorts of reasons for people coming here or not, everyone has a very busy life and visit here when they can. (as carrots has indidcated) but usually at ute shows there are the beaututers there who have either met on here or have been told about this site and have joined up so now converse more frequently than just at ute shows.
i know that there are may people who sign up with fake emaill addy's and there are those who don't post as well. maybe you could introduce a system that if the account has been inactive for over 6 months their membership will be terminated. just a thought cos i know how much time is taken up sorting through the crap.
if beaututes was to become a national club with fees etc involved then i would pay the fee. but this is exactly why i am not a member of any other ute club in sa. i am not able to get to many ute shows or the meetings so think why should i pay the membership fee.
my veiw on this, hang me if you want.

well i already wear one of the polo tops quite often, hence already advertising im a member of the site.

bottom line for me, if a fee was introduced i would certainly pay it because i love the site and all but what worries me is that some of the regulars wont bother paying and the site could go backwards. just dont know if it would be the same.

i guess theres risk involved with any venture and i will continue to support the site either way.

I'm definately keen to keep supporting the site and $50 for an awesome site like this wouldn't both me to pay, considering you're basically buying a polo shirt and a big huge sticker. I'm up for it Billy, I think if you're that hard pressed for cash then Billy could maybe work something out for you, you'd just have to talk to him I suppose.

Anyway, just my opinion, I'm all for it and I am still at school with youth allowance only getting $180 a fortnight so yeh...$50 for me is alot lol. I'd still pay though!

well I tend to agree with Chryseida.... While most regular users (myself included) would be happy to pay the membership - especially in order to support the site, I very much doubt I would have joined originally if there was a fee. I feel many people will be put off by the cost. The key will be just what sections of the site will still be accessible by the random net surfer - and will it be enough to entice them to become full members.

Sounds like a good idea when you think of it i know you personaly and find you a top bloke to think you gave free tags at aussie day you are puting up the tags for the jester muster it may not be a $1.000.000 you have given but you have given. For that i am greatfull. if you do it are we going to start with all new threads cause the false email people you talk about should not have any threads on there.normally as you say if you pay your membership on other sites you can get involved in the site if you are a visitor you can only look at the site.would it become a age limit on the site as if you pay by credit card there must be a age limit on having one.No dout you have given all angels a great thought but i dont mind.if you want to hold a meeting with a few of the local people around. To get some peopls feed back on what you are thinking and people at that meeting to speek the truth of what they think.and not let you go ahead with somthing then bitch about it behind your back.I am not pointing fingers at any one by all means i would just hate to see the site sink witch i dont think it would this is the only way i find out about most of my ute shows.so if you hold a meeting and want honesty and opinion count me in. This is only what i think nobody read this and take it the wrong way please.

hey Billy,yep, I agree with the points you make, re, forming into a national ute club.I also agree with those who, voiced their concerns, re the fees and restrictions that may have to be imposed, if forming into a ute club.But... I really don't see the need for it, as many have mentioned, many ute club members, already represent Beaututes, at ute musters etc, thru stickers on their utes.The best part, about not becoming a ute club, is so Beaututes can remain independent of all ute clubs, and be an online meeting place, plus be of service and assistance to all uters, whether members of any ute clubs , or not.The most interesting thing I have noticed, at ute shows, is that when Beaututes members get together, any personal ute club baggage, if any, is left behind, and we all have a top time of it.I am all for a Beaututes flag, what an awesome idea, I'll get one, if it goes ahead. Ah well.... just my two bobs worth...

that's a good thing isn't it? there is a hell of alot of bitching that goes on with clubs and there isn't any of that here. can't help but think that maybe if there was all the higharchy involved then that would start to happen.
good idea to keep it like it is billy. this place is like your local that no matter what you always go back to.

I would definately pay to be part of the Beaututes crew, but as mentioned before, if ppl don't have the chance to find out how many great friendships they can make on this site before being asked to pay, then they probably wouldn't bother. it's great as it is, why change a good thing?
ps. if you end up making flags I'll get one off you.
