Held in the picturesque Harts Ranges approximately 200km north-east of Alice Springs over the Picnic Day long-weekend,
the Bush Sports will feature
Gymkhana,
Bull ride,
Ute competition,
Stock horse races,
Family sports day,
Lizard races and plenty more.
The highlight will be all the fashion and finery of the Harts Range Ball on the Saturday night.
It really is a weekend of quintessential outback fun and frolics at its very best.

Hi Dean,
The Harts Range Races weekend is basically as explained on the website...
The ute comp is only a small part of the weekend- about an hour or so.
We ask people to present their utes and they can enter into one of 4
classes- Best ute, Best 4WD, Best Chix Ute and Best Feral Ute.
Prizes are about $300 for the first 2 categories, and about $100 for the
other 2.. we usually have a set of headlights and something like a DVD
player or swag donated, that make up the remaining prize money. We also get
parts and wheel alignments and car wash vouchers donated, so they also go to
the winners and anyone who may have put in that special effort..
There are no burnouts or anything allowed- just revving of engine- tooting
horn. Prizes are awarded from crowd response, but sometimes we need a judge
to make a final decision.
We get about 2500 people at the races over the weekend and about 5 entries
for each category (roughly). Usually less for the Feral one.

I ended up in going to this weekend and had a great time (was lucky enough to win the best ute overall) Adam Hearvy was great to.
