Got my licence, got a new car, broke down twice, stuck in a shithole (in a weekend)

Friday 330pm = went in lecensing centre and sat me course, and passed.
Saturday 830am=brought a '89 ford ute xf, $2500, pretty good condition , i was happy.
Saturday 12pm started to head off from geraldton to bunbury, got outside of cataby n broke down. after 3hrs of waitin mebrother came n found problem n fixd it.
Saturday7pm (dark). drivin along 110kmh wen all of a sudden i get this electric shock, den lights went out, and everything died. i was drivin blind, veered off road hit reflector post and nearly got swiped by truck.
Sunday stuck at a backpackers in perth(a shithole city) till bout tuesday, not happy.

not happy at all.

sounds like you had one of those weekends!!!

if that was me.... i'd have burnt the ute and claimed the insurence!!!

shame on you rachie.... ya can't just burn a ute although the thought has crossed my mind with cory's cruiser cause its caught on fire that many times
I got an xf too mate usually there a pretty good rig although they have there days why did u pay so much for it has me buggered i payed $1500 for mine and no big dramas yet

u can burn it easy... its got one of those little oval badges that are blue on them... i think the brand is Ford?

a guy at work just payed $4000 for an Xf in immaculate condition, no rust nothing. completley original. has a fibreglass canopy as well. reason its so expensive? only has like 60 000km. owned by this old guy who is now too old to drive it since new. i think considering km and condition its a good deal

gee thanks rachie i somehow think my ute has more power than the "bravo" especially when i get the extractors and the head reco'd
not hear to complain about fords and brands

interesting weekend, atleast youve got a good pub story

just lucky it wasnt anything more serious. with ya ute you never know it could be something simple or something major, and although 2500 dollars is a fair chunk of money some people have paid 40 grand for a lemon.
