Police Brutality

Hi everyone,

I was provided a link by email to the previous thread regarding the removal of a patron from licensed premises.

I was the officer who attended the job, I see some people on the forum have support for us and the job we do and it's appreciated, those of you who disagree with them and have experience with Police that is of a negative nature, it's a shame, but like any job there are people who aren't liked for the way they go about things, we can't please everyone, all of the time!

I cannot comment on the matter that was raised as it is before the courts but thought I would post to say hello and remind everyone to believe half of what you hear and all of what you see!

Ryno, thanks for your comments mate, I admire you and your fellow officers who do a great job all around WA, Australia and so forth.

Especially the crap you guys have to put up with, drugs, etc.

I have briefly seen that thread, people just do stupid things when drunk and obviuosly the copper was just doing his job and did what he thought was right at the time.

Like any Club / Forum etc the members of this site come from all walks of life.

I hope there is no negativity put towards cops in this thread, if so those posts may be removed.

i belive that police have to do a job but i also have witnessed first hand that fresh ones strait out of the accademy are on a power trip and this shits me u always fined the new coppers hasling the ute boys but ul get a hyway copper come past ya wave and keep driveing the others lights on spin around and pull u over to have a look and then they start poining out things that are not wrong saying they are its crap why do it if they just took the time of day to talk to us and maybe give us a few warnings fair enough not to come out guns blazing trying to prove there a big man just cos they have a badge and a gun why do it ?????

Cowboy XF, I personally, in 2 years have never come across an officer who considers that because they 'have a badge and a gun' they're on a power trip.

Some coppers enjoy traffic work and doing their best to get as many vehicles that they come across up to a roadworthy standard.

I personally have more interest in vehicles that are not of a road worthy standard due to poor maintenance, others view that those who illegally modify vehicles for personal satisfaction should also be examined, however if I come across something that I do not feel right about I will sticker it - for the safety of the driver, passengers and other road users - it's our job.

bull shit just another copper on a power trip if it has been engineered and singed off on then wheres the problem and as for un keept have u ever thort that some people dont have a job or are not in a fineacil position due to what ever circum stances that they may not be able to main tain there vechicle but it is there only way of or means of transport ?????

Of course I have considered peoples financial position Cowboy XF, especially in the bush I know I'll see the car again so I don't always sticker cars on first examination, what I also have to consider is the safety of all road users - not just the one unlucky enough to be driving a (possibly) unroadworthy vehicle

So people should be allowed to drive unroadworthy vehicles because they can't afford to fix the defects?
If the vehicle is un-roadworthy, then it's un-roadworthy. No ifs or buts.
The police are there to protect and serve, and that means protecting other road users as well.

not even they are there to make sociatey run in an orderly manner yes but as for the vechicle thing my best and favriote example is DENI what a load of police bullshit that is !!!!!!!!!! as for the police brutelaty they do half the time peopl will go willing ley but the cops just get a rush of adrenalin and just watch em go deni last yeah look at that????

I have been stickered for my bullbar, spotlights and bug deflector from a cop it Rockingham and it pissed me off, but I got over it... btw I am in Dumbleyung.. what do the Katanning cops think about out Police Station closing Ryno?
