Lights, how hard is it?!

| Lights, how hard is it?! I just need to vent. Last night mum was in car accident, cause some "idiot" didnt have his lights on or an reflector tape. Come on how hard is it to switch some lights on, so people can see you when your sitting on a dark street. Mum was heading home from work, when she turned down one of the back streets to go home. A "Prime Mover" was sitting on the side of the side, stationery, with NO LIGHTS on and not refecltor tape on his truck. Mum didnt see him to the last minute, and hit him. Lucky she was only doing a slow speed. But still the front of her Nissian Patrol is not looking to happy. She was able to walk away with just a sore knee and eye (airbag hit her). But something so simple as lights, can cause so much damage and pain.... I mean come on how hard is it to flick a switch.... All i needed, as the night before i was in a car accident. I was lucky to walk away aswell, but thats a different story. Cheerio Jemma

She was very lucky tho, and a good thing she was drivinga Patrol coz looking at those photos if she was driving anything smaller it could've been messy.

| Re: Lights, how hard is it?! Agree on the lights, but some people have no Idea. Gotta add about those people who don't switch em on when the weather is bad - try and spot em in the mirrors on an overcast day. Glad to hear everyone is ok after these accidents, maybe you need ot go get a lotto ticket Jem. ![]()

| Re: Lights, how hard is it?! Good to hear all is ok and the only thing damaged was the car. On the subject of lights is these people who insist on driving everywhere with high beam on and refuse to dip them even after you have flashed them. Another thing is fog lights they can be very dazzling at night and they don't show up any more of the road in front when they are on. | |

| Re: Lights, how hard is it?! your mum is certainly lucky. some people really just dont think do they. I mean to most of us, it would just be common sense to have lights or reflectors, but as the saying goes, common sense isn't all that common after all...
