Rep Power: 2 ![]() | Shoulder operation Only a fortnight ago I had my right shoulder operated on and within 22 hours of it being done I was sent home. They came and tested me to see if all things were good and they were. But I was still pumped full of drugs making it feel really great. So I was set home and then next days that followed I don't know how I kept away from the hospital as the pain hit once all the drugs had wore off. Well I had to see the specialist that done it and told him about it and boy oh boy was he pissed off. He said that I should have been in there for 48 hours. So he is gunna have a go at the doctors that said it was okay for me to go home. Shoulder I doing better now but with less movement in it at this time that I would like. So it comes down to the hospital kicking you out so it makes their figures look better. And the patient is the secondary worry. Where it should be the other way around. |

Im lucky enough to have only had good experiences with hospitals thus far. I had both knees operated on about 5 weeks ago and all the staff at the hospital were fantastic. it was only day surgery, i was in in the morning and going home that evening but still... it seems to be a hit-and-miss kind of thing. some hospitals are great with patients and others are just crap!

Rep Power: 2 ![]() | Re: Shoulder operation Well Fuzzyevil1 I agree with you about the health system and the lack of beds. But on this time there was plenty of beds. And no it wasn't the fault of the nurses they were great. It was the doctor's off siders that were the one's to kick me out. So I have no gripe with them, I spos it comes down to a real lack of comminications. But the shoulder is doing better each day. So thats good. Well AnotherGoodReason, I to have had my back operated on and I actually got out in 3 days but that was only for a lamonectomy. But I have had another 2 operations on it after that. But they were done in a private hospital where I got the best care ever. Now I'm looking at another operation on it again, but a level higher. |
