I'm really pissed off that I payed an extra $40 for a band I don't give a shit about and no ute tally for 2009.

This is what I'm also hearing from others....Here's why..............

The Deni fraternity are adamantely stating they did no count because they were going to do it on the Sunday weather permitting but that's a crock of shit as not everyone was going to convoy it, and weather hasn't dictated ute count numbers in the previous ten years gone by.............

No doubt they did do their numbers be it air and land however this year possibly came up short due to RIDICULOUS ticket prices.

Now get this for a joke or an admission of guilt, they've dropped the prices back down to $95, early bird prices....

Lets hope they learnt their lesson from this and stick to country shit, keep the country souls goin and forget trying to be something they are not.

I'm more so pissed off that they bullshit to your face over stats and numbers and find it more disrespectful to the consuming public that this is the attitude they adopt.

I agree the ticket prices where way over the top.... Summernats is the same price but goes for 5 days and there is a shit load more to do....

note* no offence to the deni ute muster....

but with prices like that and so little time and so little to do.... bugger that im not going....

Hi Fangin 3741,

I'm sorry that you feel the way you do about the Muster. We are a small group with fantastic volunteers (over 1,000) of them who bust their bums to put the show on.

Any profits we sometimes have, go to local sports groups, charities (such as Rotary, Lions etc), schools etc.

We note your views on the music and ute count.

We had planned to try to beat our 1999 Guinness World Record for the largest parade of utes instead of an official count. Unfortunately, the route for the parade was soft due to rain the week before and the 2 days of drizzle. The parade would have damaged the Show n Shine arena and other areas. So we have postphoned it until next year.

Sorry we didnt do a count but we registered over 6,900 utes.

Also the ticket prices on offer at the moment are exactly the same as December last year. The reason why we have done the Pre Xmas offer for the past 3 years is to support and acknowledge (particularly the ute crowd and country folk) who are so supportive every year and to make it more affordable for them.

We have already signed Corb Lund, Kasey Chambers, John Williamson, James Reyne and hopefully Lee Kernaghan for 2010 which we think is a pretty good line up.

Once again we are sorry you feel the way you do. We try our best to keep all our supporters happy. Its pretty hard to please all.

Anyway, have a great Christmas and hopefully we'll see you next year.

good onya deni ute chick,you all do a great job there..what i head around the traps was mostley the music and the amount of thefts the amount of police and sacurity people in the place it might be better some sacurity in the ute paddock.the music the comment i get is that to much non country music ,the comments i get is most country people people love country music.how about steve forde .the davidson brothers.the wolverines,lee kerningham and the list goes on.

Deni Ute Chick, that's about the most honest response I've heard thus far, from anyone mildly representing the Deni Commitee.
For that, thankyou.

However I hope you don't misunderstand what I was trying to get at.

I wasn't having a go at any one particular person, rather the organisation and how it's PR department has failed for 2009.

Now I know after ten odd years, a little error in PR of that calibre can be overlooked however an error to stray away from what the essence of the ute muster was to begin with, would be a big error in many ways. For this oversight is the very reason the bulk of the Deni crowd attend.

So it was a trial n error year, ie. 2009.

Fingers crossed we dont see another one of those for another ten years at least..


And for the love of Sanity, call a spade a spade on your website too, not some PR crap that no one believes anyway that currently burns the retinas as I read the crock of shit...

Deni was great, of course the parade was canceled, it was raining, its dick heads the wreack for everyone by been stupid in the parade because its wet, shit happens this year someone through a stubby at my new ute and smashed my wind screen, unfortunal shit happens, its just apart of the muster, I belive the ticket prices are more than fair considering how many police, grog and entertainment was there. I don't get qet band's like Powderfinger/Living End are headling these concerts? Different story with the Angels, they've been Aussie legends for years, but these other bands are ridiculous. You should be trying to get Country acts headlining these shows.I knew over 30 people who went this year and not one was pleased that they were headlining. Especially when the majority of people who go to Deni are from the country, and listen to country music

as far as a convoy is concerned it wont be an indication as to how many Utes were at the muster as they start to leave before daybreak on the Sunday,have a convoy but don't have a count it wont be at all accurate cheers billy.

deni should be about all things Aussie & Country there should be only Aussie artist playing and not americans no offence i love corb lund but its a aussie ute muster well thats my opinion but i gota say the ticket prices are prty Hefty i mean $135 currrently thats pry excesive and it practicly for nothing much u gota take fuel into account food, grog by the end of it your outa pocket $500 or more there should be at the gate a freebies pack for evryone that gos with a stubbie holder sticker ear tag ect just little things im starting to get over deni am going this year but doubt if ill go next i prefer a good old bns ball get blind get freebies and breaky all for the great low price of $95 now thats an offer i can not refuse :P
