Hi,

Today we have a BIG announcement!
Guinness World Records have accepted our application to attempt to break the 1999 largest parade of legally registered utes (which we set).
So we are going to attempt it this year at the Festival on SUNDAY 9am. Just as everyone leaves.
Log in to our website http://www.deniutemuster.com.au home page for more info. Our parade has to be a minimum of 3.2km of continuous utes. The 1999 record was 2,839 utes.
The parade will depart from the ute paddock at 9am sharp and travel through the Festival Arena to the other side, we will then do a few loops and then past the finishing line. An official Guinness World Record representative will be at the finishing line counting the utes. You can then drive out via the Moonee Swamp Road exit to head home.
Every person driving their ute in the parade will receive an official certificate as well as being part of history.
So please spread the word - we want to smash the 1999 record. Loads of media will be there too.
As you all enter the Festival on Friday you will receive information about it as well as a map of where the parade will go. It won't go on to the main road.

Deni Ute Chick, can you please on a copy of Google Earth map out our path in visual, so we know what we're doing in advance....I'm not farmiliar with the roads like others and would appreciate a visual of what's involved.

I'll be heading up for my 2nd time this year, last years was great mud and all! even better is the fact that i've put together a convoy of around 10 utes heading up toghether this year from adelaide, anyone wanting to join is more then welcome.

dont forget next Tuesday 1st September is when the tickets go up to $145.

IMPORTANT NOTICE - We wont be posting out tickets and merchandise after 18 September. they will have to be picked up at the Festival Headquarters in Hardinge Street in Deni after that date.

Hi KH. thanks for your question. It is really tricky to work out a good time as our traffic controllers said that a majority of people leave at around 9am Sunday. The parade (from the 1st ute to the last ute) will take about 2 hours so we thought that the ones who need to get going home can start at 9am onwards and the others who need some more time to sober up could join in the parade an hour or so later. And so no one would miss out. Although the parade needs to be continual so as long as the utes keep coming through the ute paddock gate in single file we shouldnt have any problems with the GWR attempt.
After you go past the finishing line you can then drive out the gate and home or wherever you are planning to go.

So we would anticipate it would take each ute about 20 minutes to do the actual parade from the starting point to the finishing point.
