Thanks for backing me up pedler you could try and search you tube monster trucks and see how many roll from doing circles it's either to dry or they roll over when landing from jumping cars and yes the articulated steering is a huge help !!!

spoke to one of the original organisers of Deni this year bout a few different things, and 4wd's in circlework was one of them. next year they want to expand on the 4wd aspect of the show and have a 4wd obstacle comp out past the show/shine area. Sounds cool, but i just wanted to go in the cirlcework.

If they are thinking of doing that for 4x4s then its a start to more me i have a 4x4 now and i wouldnt do it but hay thats me i have the barina to do all that it. me i would like to see deni have a part for the ute with a boot but that not going to happen lol

bring on the circleworkin 4X4's, mines all i got and she loves goin round in circles, as long as the dirst soft enough rolling shouldn't be an issue and if you manage to you pushed too hard or have no idea and the resulting cost to get home should be enough to learn ya. Besides, most circle work comps you have to sign a waver before going out anywya and deni is zero alcohol, let us out in the fourbys and you'll be amazed at what they can do

but in a different categorie to utes
they should create a new trophie
for 4wd winners because its hard to compare
a 4wd to a utes circle work

Hi Everyone,

We have been reading all your suggestions, pro's and con's about a 4WD comp at the Deni Ute Muter.

Keep them rolling in as we are looking in to doing a 4WD comp but not sure as yet. Lot's of things we have to consider such as insurance, safety etc.

A good point there Junkie however....then having that ruling means that you have to introduce scruitineering, that in itself is an issue, race scruitineers are expensive, and then whos to say weather somthing is "factory" or not...its a can of worms

HOW CAN WE MAKE BARREL RACING AND CIRCLE WORK SAFER FOR EVERYONE ?

ADDING WATER REDUCES TRACTION AND SPEED, REDUCING THE TRACK SIZE ALSO REDUCES SPEED.

WETTING DOWN A TRACK REDUCES BREAKAGE AND DUST, GIVING THE DRIVER A MUCH CLEARER VIEW.

OUR UHF CB'S HAVE BEEN A GREAT SAFETY DEVICE, TO BE ABLE TO YELL STOP OR LOOK OUT, LIKE IN THE CASE OF A DOG OR CHILD RUNNING ONTO THE TRACK.

LAST YEAR THE UTE'S THAT ENTERED INTO DENI CIRCLE WORK COMP WHERE SCRUTINIZED BEFORE THE EVENT. THIS COULD BE DONE BY QUALIFIED PEOPLE.

HELMETS COULD BE ADDED ??? NO ITS NOT RUN BY CAMS BUT KNOW ONE WHAT'S TO SEE THERE MATES GET HURT !

ROLL CAGES ? IF SOME SORT OF APPROVED ROLL CAGE HAD TO BE FITTED AS A LAST RESORT, AT LEAST 4WD UTE'S WOULD HAVE AN OPTION TO ENTER.

THE DENI DRIVING EVENTS ARE AWESOME, EVERYONE WOULD AGREE THEY ADD A LOT OF ENTERTAINMENT FOR US AT DENI.
WOULD A 4WD CLASS ADD TO THE ENTERTAINMENT VALUE OF DENI ? ABSOLUTELY...
AND WITHOUT BEING SEXIST "BECAUSE I HAVE SEEN CHICKS GIVE THE BLOKES A WHIPPING" BEST CIRCLE WORK BY A CHICK WOULD BE A GREAT CLASS TO HAVE....

Very thoughtful response CAT I must say that I tend to agree with what you are saying.
The appropraite question is one that you framed there, HOW CAN WE MAKE IT SAFER?
If you reduce the calculated risk and manage said risk as far as practible then that is the best you can do.

why dont you just go on the worksafety site they can help u all out on wat you are trying to find out, an rollbars and the helmets go under cams and no1 is going to pull out over $100 for there cams lic, plus you have to be in a proper car club, thats my thoughts on that
