Record turnout of utes at Deniliquin Motor Show | The Daily Telegraph
IT'S the annual salute to the ute that just keeps getting bigger - and this year wetter.
Deniliquin's 10th Motor Show not only brought a record 7242 utes to the Riverina town but also much-needed, if untimely, rain.
The record turnout forced organisers to close the front gates on the first of the festival's two days to car lovers from as far afield as Western Australia and New Zealand.
Rain fell for the first time in years, turning the dust to mud and bringing smiles to the faces of the drought-stricken locals. Motorhomes and caravans got in on the action as a 500-car ute convoy from Melbourne turned heads.
The 10th festival pulled a crowd of about 25,000, up from 18,000 last year when the muster attracted 6235 utes.

this was my first year 2 deni and it was the best thing. it was good 2 get away from th farm and meet new people. But all in all they cant get rid of deni its a place for country and rural people to get together and have a good time and its good 2 see even people from the city come up. cheers.

after the mess up and drop in communication on thursday night which meant we didnt sleep for 42 hours put me off. i was really looking forward to a good weekend
Dont get me wrong, overall it was a good event and i do recommend people go and experience it for themselves, but i dont think i will make the trip again.
I'm gonna stick to the smaller events.

it was really great/i enjoyed.myself heaps i wish it was longer.a little of a bummer was i past a couple of utes between ecuha and denni and about five minutes later their was a call on the UHF for assistance a couple of blokes have blown their radiator and needed to someone to call a tow truck ,i call back and i will give you a tow because it cost to much to get a tow truck.so i turned back to get them.when i got back their was a xf ute and a ford courier andxf was stuffed the courier driver from Ipswich could not tow because he had a3lt and was not strong enough to tow,so i towed these blokes in the xf ute to deni the blokes where from Tasmania 'they where young blokes about 17 and eighteen,they did not have a phone so the courier bloke and i rang around to chase up a radiator for them i tow them around and went to a caravan park and sauce one from repco which would arrived the next day .my bitch is that i was to trusting and lend them some tools and gave them my card with my phone no.so they can ring me when they get to the muster and give me back my tools ,well this did not happen .they could have some courtesy and give me back my tools and not even a thank you.i know one is a shearer in tassie.sometimes it makes you think the next time you help a fellow aussie i will be very careful

Well this year was my first Deni and i have mixed thoughts about it. I have to agree that nowhere will you get entertainment like that for that amount of money. That side of it was fantastic.
I'm not really sure what i expected but i felt it didnt live up to my expactations. Everyone seemed to be having a great time, i never saw any trouble (plenty of cops though) but it just didnt seem to have the party atmosphere i expected.
I also didnt really find much of that country hospitatity you read so much about...it was all you people there for 2 reasons only...drink and women. Don't get me wrong, i'm not offended by that at all, it just didnt seem very "country". Perhaps it more a right of passage now like schoolies or the Falls festival. People go just to say they have been.

I'm not sure that I will go back next year. It might depend on who that have on stage...
All in all i did have a good time though.

gee Cary, mate thats not right, u help a bloke out, you would expect your tools back wouldn't you... mate thats shocking...

my weekend was tops!!
had a ball!!

saw some very very funny things and enjoed every minute of it.. and i didnt drink or pick up with any girls, but still had a ball, so its not all about getting waisted and hooking up like some people say, i just had a aweoseom time cathing up with mates and meeting some good mates for years to come...

overall i loved it =]

Yep, i'll second that(apart from the chopper) had a fantastic time. Met heaps of new people, drank heaps, watched some top notch bands, saw some top notch utes and generally had a ball.

Thankyou and well done to all involved.

well all i can say is what an awsome event! i went as a deni virgin this year and i am definately goin back next year (with my ute hehe) and a bit more prepared haha. I was expecting to see lots of idiots from the big smoke but it wasnt to bad, atmosphere was awsome and rain was to!! A big cheers out to all the helpers and organisers.

We had a good time, everyone waz great and i met heaps of nice people! There were some real hottys but i hated the rain! A gurls still gota look her best. Didnt sleep as our group was up running a muck and music waz great! Couldnt walk around without getting hit on but, which was funny coz my brother and his mates were next to me most the time ;p Ill be back 2009!!

AWSOME as usual! Loved it... Got a few pics, but not many.

Walked around the muster about 10 times over the weekend but couldnt find the Beaut Ute camp anywhere

Just wondering if anyone got a pic of any of the females flashing at centre stage around the time of the fireworks and the living end sat night???

Will be goin again next year, but with a ute!!!

Well my thoughts on Deni this year are well done to all who helped run the show.

$120 for all that entertainment top value for money.

yes I paid for a ticket this year. . . .

And these are my thoughts TO ALL THE KNOCKERS IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT DON'T GO BACK

I had a great time all weekend. Spent time with my mates and met some new mates that will be mates for life... notice I'm emphasising the word mates, because that to me was what my 2008 Deni experience was mostly about. The entertainment package was excellent, the show n shine was brilliant, people were awesome, value for my money was outstanding, police and security were sensational and most of all the time spent with mates is time I will never ever forget.

was a grouse weekend. As a few have said it was good to hang out with mates, make new mates and have a good time. Thought it was very laid back, definatley going again next year
