hmmm well i had a bawl. i went a wee bit hard friday night, so was hung over sat, but in saying that i did everything i wanted to do on the friday. i didnt leave camp, i could hear the bands from where i was though. i think if i could have i would have left sat.

from B U i met, arky, tewwtie, janie, adzy, fangs, cowgirl ally, running on empty and a few others, so that was fun.
i would go again but i will leave the ute home.

just to put a dampner on thiongs guys, yesterday i heard a chick got gang raped by 5 guys and bashed and ended up in hospital!!
now i dont know how true this is.... has anyone else heard anything like it???

if you go over from tassie, pay the extra and get a cabin on the boat, those chairs need burning!!! dam the chairs to hell!

YES ITS OVER RATED.. ive been to deni 5 years straight and id have to say that the 10th year was the worsed ive been to..

ive been told that the ppl that cleaned the grounds had found hundered of used needles and E`s, they were saying thats the 1st time in 10years there eva found anything like it..

ive got nothing agenst the living end but seriously why put it as a main artist for a sat night?? i always thought deni was a Country event were mates all get together meet new ppl and have fun and a few drinks, its seems to have changed alot over the last few years..

i think they will find that deni wont make numbers next year cause so many ppl arent going cause its gone down hill..

they did a pretty poor job of inspecting the utes as they were coming into the muster, they didnt even ask to look in the back and we could have taken in so much drugs

yes hamish thats what i have been told! at deni.

but like i said i dont know how true that is.

as for turning ppl off... the world we live in it is the risk you take anywhere you go, no where is safe anymore. not like the olden days where ppl left doors un locked etc.

it wont turn me off. i risk getting my drink spiked everytime i go to a club or something.

i would really like to think its not true, but like blue said the found needles.. so if thats the case then anything's possible i guess.. makes me wonder how with so many ppl around.

Seriously people pull your heads in. I heard this, I was told that. Its all crap. If we believed everything we were told gosh where would we be. I work in a club where people are pinging off all kinds of drugs all the time and I have to recognise this as I'm serving alcohol and I didn't see anyone who looked like they were on drugs. Ok one or two may have been but I doubt 1000's on needles and E's were found, on the note of E's who seriously just throws a bunch of E's on the ground. Thats stupid. As for being raped do you want to tell me where the hell this could have happened. I was at Deni and pretty much walked the entire grounds this would have been a very difficult task for a grop of guys to execute. I'm not saying that there is no way it is true but it sounds highly unlikely. There just wasn't anywhere to hide for that kind of behaviour. Unless you know first hand it'd be best not to comment and unless you were there "o i've heard it was crap" doesn't constitute as a valid comment!!!!

As for Deni being overrated I didn't think it was. I went there with some doubts and uncertainties due to all the crap posted by other people and had an absolute blast and can't wait to go back next year. Its what you make it. I ran around catching up with people and making heaps of new mates. There was so much to do and I wasn't bored at any time. Its alright for you guys over east to go every year and critisise it but still rock up the next year, for us over west its a massive and really expensive weekend but I reckon it was totally worth it.

Ok I'm done ranting now.

Well guys! I love Deni, this was my 5th year in a row, I will deff be back there again next year...
As for the rap thing, I doubt it! I walked around the ute section prob about 5 times on my own... I had guys talking to me from their camp sites but didnt have any trouble with any of them...
As ROKNROBYN said, its very unlikely and no point in talking about it if u r not certain that it happened...
For those who have been, its not goin to turn them off goin again if they enjoyed it enough! :P I know its not goin to turn me off!!! hahaha

its not the cheapest weekend out there but hey its only oncea year..This year was my third and i reckon there was heaps more to do and ya didn't have to sit in the carpark like years gone by for entertainment! All the extras are reflected in the ticket price, if ya don't want to pay $125, book them earlier!!

roknrobyn the post i put up about the needle and the Es are actually true it come from the organisers mouth, and u know what the cops are gunna get there ass kicked as so many ppl had went to the cops about seeing ppl use drugs and they couldnt giv a toss and they ppl started going to the main organisers and complaining to them..

I've just been thinking about criticism of the Living End.

Firstly, they were in the middle ofa promotional tour for a new album that is selling like hotcakes. Making them hot property. They also appeared on numerous tv shows and also played at the NRL grand final - all due to their popularity.

Secondly, they were booked based on a groundswell of popular opinion.

Thirdly, they had the biggest audience out of everyone who played at the muster - more even than Lee Kernaghan.

And the final word, came from one of the other performing artists (a couple of country loving sisters...) who told me personally that the Living End's performance was one of the things they most looked forward to.

Me and a group of tassie boys ventured to deni for the first time this year and had an absolute blast. We all cant wait to get back next year.
Just a note on the ute searching, i noticed only 3 vehicles being searched.... but it would be a bit hard to search thru over 7200 utes without holding everyone up to great lengths.
Altho it sux that theres the minority who need to sneak the drugs in to have a good time. If they cant have a good time on rum and the entertainment at deni they shouldnt bother turning up
