Not going this year....moved from ACT to Esperance WA so it's a bit far to travel just for 4 days.

May eventually get back there in a few years time if it's still going & isnt over run by dick heads (and if I'm still keen). I love the atmosphere & fun that we have but as usual, there are a handful of tools that like to ruin it for everyone.

Well I was going to go this year but now changing jobs instead of going there. For the last 5 years Ive been packing and heading off on the great road trips to get there and cought up with alot of good mates when I got there and also had a lot of great times while being there. Its hard with all my mates up here packing to go, I was going to make this year my last as its starting to be to hard to get the time off to go and cost to much to get there.

well we werent going but as someone else said all the hype is contagious so we shuffled some plans and sold a car and got a ute and now we going will be the first yr in 2 yrs but not sure if we will go again next yr we will have 3 kids so who knows hope to catch up with some old faces up there as we dont get to much any more

I missed out last year and won't be able to make it this year, but I have heard from a commitee member that alot of young kids from Deni have joined the commitee and are pushing hard for more alternative/non-country bands, which is why the Living End are headlining this year.. Its sorta got away from the original concept of what it was all about when the first muster was held (country people with a love of utes getting together for a good time).. More and more city folk are comming up and using it as an excuse to be stupid and cause trouble and the cops use it as an excuse to revenue raise and get their quotas up by pulling over utes all the way from deni back down the main roads to other towns (particularly echuca/moama so be careful if you're heading that way) I have also heard from a Deni local that there was talks that they were going to pull the pin after this year.. I enjoyed the first 5 years but found my last one in 06 disapointing.. having said that if i come back home to VIC i may go again depending on who they have playing there..

they're not gonna be pulling the pin...they're counting down to next years one on the web site, and giving tix away in some competition. So i reckon its on for young and all (again)

this year was a bit of a let down....there were so many bloody townies around the place, but i here most of them only came because it was Deni's 10th b'day and most of them couldn't hake it so they won't be back next year, so if next year is crap i wont be back

Had heard so many shit reviews from so many people but then spoke to the WA people and they all raved about it, guess the road trip just adds to it.

You know what Laura I think you're right, the road trip adds to it and the whole well I've made such an effort to travel this far I'm gonna make sure I have a good time thing too. As soon as I've gotten my next road trip outta the way I intend to start saving for it.

Yeah, ya right about the road trip. My fiance and I drove non-stop from Adelaide on the Thursday night and it was awesome. Getting to Deni with enough time to roll out the swag and watch the Lights on Convoy roll into town was fantastic. Our tickets will be booked in December when the early bird tickets are released so it definately wasn't our last Deni! We'll see ya's next year for sure.
