Peter Brock Memorial Cruise to Mt Panorama Sept 17th

please pass this information on to everyone!

In the memory of the late Peter Brock, i am organising a cruise to Bathurst, to lay flowers on the mountain that made the man. I knew Peter from when i was about 12. my uncle used to race formula vee, and my brother and i would always be in the pits pestering the mobil 1 and later Holden Racing Team for Mr Brock to autograph whatever we could find. He was always a gentleman and always to happy to help, have a chat or sign an autograph. he was a man that didn't let fame go to his head. He was down to earth and genuine. He died doing what he loved and what he lived for. He will be sorely missed by many. May He Rest in Peace in Horsepower Heaven as our King of the Mountain.

Cruise details,
When: Sunday 17th september

Meet: Lithgow Macca's and adjacent KFC 11am for 12pm leave.
as people come from so many different areas this is about the point where we all meet up. if anyone wants to meet in other places before Lithgow please post so others know.

Bring: flowers/wreaths to lay on the mountain in memory of a great man.
Black ribbon on your arial will be done at Lithgow or you can supply your own.

Hoping to organise some media coverage so please no silly stuff.

From RpM -Chanels 7, 9 and 10 have been informed and are sending people out to help out the cause and exposure of the cruise... There is a meeting point at Penrith Krispy Kremes from a few of the commodore clubs - meeting about 8:30 - 9:00am

Also im coming down from Cessnock if any body wants to convoy down..
Im meeting up with feral kev at penrith..We are convoying up to Mt Panorama to join everybody else in the cruise..Alot of car & ute clubs are attending..
Please put a black ribbion on Aerial for Respect for the King of the Mountain..
Im doing this for my uncle (racing car driver) and the old times we had at the pitts at Amaroo Raceway with Brock, Johnson.etc..

I will be there cruising down with a member of another club (RpM), but will deffinately be there. Encourage everyone to come and pay respects to the man who shaped motor racing into what it is today.
Also anyone coming please bring flowers, we plan to cover the Mount Panarama sign in flowers, will be a very worthwhile day, a good way to say goodbye.

Was an awesome day, alot of people turned up which was really good, very fitting way to say good bye to a legend, alot of people did bring flowers which was good, although most people placed them along the wall along with their posters and writing, the club i was with walked down to the Mount Panorama sign and placed ours there along with a poster we all signed, was a really great day, and most people behaved which was awesome.
I did see the utes but didnt get a chance to come and say hello, saw Feral Kev (I was in the same car as RpM when he called out to you as we were driving past), saw Ness a few times driving around, and if any one else was there im sure I saw you too, just cant remember who, but to who everyone that came thanks

(And if you didnt see we made it on channel 9 news last night)

If anyone would like to buy a Peter Brock sticker and didnt get a chance at the event please let me know tonight! So i can put one aside for you, after tonight im not sure if we will have any so please if you would like one let me know, they are $5 each and we have blue, black, dark red or light red.
