Dodgy Gifts

After reading the xmas wish list thread i had a thought - has anyone ever recieved some realy dodgy xmas pressies?

I ask this 'cos i received my first pressie for this xmas season yesterday.

When i felt the parcel i knew it was clothes - was hoping it would be the wrangler t-shirt i had my eye on, but no what i opened up to was white satin pyjamas with pink roses printed on them - anyone who knows me will know that they r just soooooooooo not me.

Makes me wonder if people really think about who they r buying for or if they buy something and then work out who to give it to.

Don't get me wrong i'm not an ungrateful bitch I know it's the thought that counts - would never let on to my parents that there's no way in hell that i will ever where them

My sister-in-law is not the best at picking gifts, so far she's given me fake pearl jewellery, real big chunky stuff and a cactus, neither of them are 'me' by a long shot.

my nan used to always buy me 'granny' undies for christmas and socks.....now she gives me money....

my mum is a shocker - gives me heaps of little crappy things that i'll never use but love them anyway!!

My family and friends are all pretty good and generally get me something i need or want and if they cant figure it out they go with money but i did have and ex whose mum bought me fancy soap and powder and a candle for xmas once it was kinda strange cause i aint one to use fancy soap and powder (just gimme an ordinary bar of soap and skip the powder) and stuff and i dont do candles but i spose it was the thought that counts

although if u've seen my room u'd think it was a pretty good gift. worst thing is, she wasnt giving them to me as a joke... coz she bought mum some too.

my step grandmother gave me a coke can dispenser when i was 9
my sister gave me phone case for a nokia.. i have a motorola
Hair ribbons from my nan.. (not kool)
Spice Girls CD last yr from my great aunt
and the list goes on! funny thing is i still have all the gifts.. just for giggles!

I think its funny what some ppl have gotten, cant say i have ever gotten something that i have never used, i grew up getting everything mum n dad could afford which wasnt much at all, and it was more than what they got back in the day.. I love getting socks and jocks from mum, she knows me best!!! I always think of the person and what they like and if i cant make a decision i will take them out shoppin myself and say well here the limit, you choose. hehe
Pressies are for the kids these days and not for me, i think that its the company of awesome friends and family that matters to me now, which sadly i wont have, cant afford to get bak home to do xmas this year so i going out bush campin for a few days..

from one of my aunties when i was 17 i got a pair of size 4 kids shorts I may be small but i ain't that damn small
alcohol is the main one but usually parents end up hiding it and drinking it, lol

well my grand parents n aunty usually give me stuff that i dnt end up usin that i end up passin dwn to my sis since i aint to much of a girly girl like her lol
