What If???

Every rememberance and ANZAC day I always get to thinking...what would life or the world be like if the allied forces of British, American, Australian & others had failed in the battles of WWI and WWII???
Would you even exist? What would have become of Australia, or even the UK?

It is hard to fathom how much different the world would be now if it wasn't for the hard, steely determination and courage of those Allied forces.

So what do you think?

I think thats why we honour the soldiers of then and now so much and thats why those anti war protestors and the ones that dont support the war annoy me so much
Our troops are over there for US at least give them the comfort that we care and support their efforts to give us the life styles we have

Re: What If???

That's it.
Imagine of the Australian soldiers had lost the battle in PNG? What would have happened to this great country if Japan HAD invaded it and won? It defnitely wouldn't be the way it is now, I wouldnt even exist as I was conceived and born in Bougainville (a small island off the coast of PNG), but if Australia hadn't beaten back those Japanese then my parents never would have even been able to live there. Kind of scary really

Re: What If???

I would hate to think how we would be if our forefathers had lost. Thank to their gut, determination and worst of all loses of our young fella's. And this is why we do thank them on these important days. And I'm really happy to say my son was born on Anzac Day. Those now old bugger were brave much braver than I will ever be. And I thank them whole heartily.
