Rep Power: 2 ![]() | Drift Track Just read our local newspaper and there was an interesting story in it. It said that the young people around here have been trying to get a legal drift track up and running. It will cost heaps but I think that it would be worth it as it said that the tracks like say Calder Raceway cost about 10 thousand dollars a day to hire. So it would bring in money to the area. I will be totally behind it. Like the young one's said since the hoon law has come in there is nowhere for them to go apart from the dragstrip when it open occasionally. So I'm a big yes for it to go ahead. ![]() |

That's until public liability went through the roof & they had 2 close it! But anything that gets em interested in sumthin & off the streets is a good thing i say!!

Rep Power: 3 ![]() | Re: Drift Track True drifting is very technical and quite difficult - anyone can slide the car on a bend and think they are drifting, but there is a lot more to it. A lot of work also goes into setting a car up to drift, so not something just anyone can do competitively without learning some skills. Great to see people getting behind a different form of motorsport and giving people young and old a place to actually learn how to handle their cars safely and off the main drag!
