Butts - The existence of stereotypes

Yep, the topic is... BUMS!

Jess and I have discussed this before, and I'm pretty sure you girls (and boys too) would probably be aware of this!

From my observations - boyfriends, male friends, random males etc. - there exists different butt steryotypes. This probably applies more to "country" boys/men that city folk (sorry!).

The stereotypes come in "brand-names". For example:

The "Wrangler Butt" - As the stickers says 'Wrangler Butts Drive Me Nuts'... These wrangler butts don't seem to suit any other brand of jeans! I noticed this one day when I went jeans shopping with my ex, when he wasnt my ex, and he has a "wrangler butt" - never seen in anything else! Well I spotted this great pair of RM jeans (which looked good on the maniquin)... so I chucked him a pair to try on. He thaught they looked good on the hanger too. Anyway, he put them on, and needless to say they looked rediculous. Hence - the "wrangler (only) butt." The "wrangler butts" seem to be rife among the rodeo (as in bullriders, bronc riding, steer wrestlers etc etc) scene and/or the cattle showing scene. They tend to be leaner blokes, though I have seen some tubby blokes in them - but its my guess they were lean once. They still seem to have the lean arse but just have an added gut over their shiny belt buckles. (for jess: nath has a wrangler butt) (I also once discovered a Wrangler Butt discguised in a pair of Ralph Lauren Jeans.. Worked very well, though who would wreck a pair on the farm anyway? unless they were made of money perhaps )
The RM Arse - Yep, these are the boys who seem to suit only RMs. From my observations (and please correct me if I'm wrong) there are alot of them at ag-colleges and around the sheep-scene. Not all, but most seem to be solid blokes (no, im not calling you fat, i litterally mean solid). Actually well build guys with a bit more meat. The RM 'elephant ears' do a great job in flattering the 'RM arse' in my opinion. But yes, I reckon theyre generally more common in the solid fellas (for jess: klynt has an rm arse) (also tend to suit blue-dog branded jeans)
And with all things... there is the mottly bunch which don't seem to fit into either of the above stereotypes. They seem to be the odd arses that are covered in levi's, brahma or hard yakka jeans. (though brahma arses can sometimes cross between both of the above stereotypes). Not going to start another "country vs city" argument here, but it seems that the blokes that get around in Levi's or similar are city-based (with country threads) or like "city-likes" such as the arts, or town-utes etc. *shrug* I havent done much research into this so please correct me if I'm wrong.

Anyway.... thats my theory which is still in its foetel stages. Any advances on my thesis would be muchly appreciated!

Yeah well I pretty much agree with you on what butts suit what jeans... but I dont think I really apply a stereotype to any of them. I am just a sucker for denim clad butts (favourites being Brahma, Wrangler, RM).
In my earlier teen years I liked baggy jeans on blokes (dont ask... 'rock chick' phase) but now I cant stand them! I like to see a nice arse, scrawny, solid or inbetween; RM or Wrangler. Love em. I prefer butts in jeans to naked butts anyday! Lol.... "Hello. My name is Jess, and I am a man-a-holic... especially denim butts"

Hey Little Bundy.. Love ya work!!! Very good observations!!!!... Mind you i must add that i do know a VERY country boy that loves his Levi jeans... he reckons hes been told they make his arse look good.. and by god they do!!! hahaha... I wouldn't have even known they were "city boy" jeans if he hadn't pointed it out himself at the pub friday night!!! Anyways, keep up the good work

bugger me , i aint taken much notice of mine all i say is i check the roxy ones out ( the girls ) some look great but others shouldnt even try to wear them some i think are bill boards for roxy !!! lol

think you're onto something here girls. i think there should be a category for moleskins as well though.

agree with you Kaz, seen some hot moleskin butts ~! and LB you be right but dont agree that levi's are city boys got loads of em down here!(some hot some not)
