Rep Power: 4 ![]() | Re: "aggressive" bull bars Well, after a very interesting chat with Irvin Bullbars, they refuse to make a 5-poster (airbag compatible or not) for a BA Falcon as it is illegal (cough cough cough). They say the 3-poster is perfectly legal, with the unpainted mesh on the front. I have heard tho, that they are one of the most vocal when it comes to the anti-5-poster regime. I believe Trax 4WD in the Eastern States makes an airbag compatible 5-poster to suit late model Falcons and Commodores for around $1650. www.trax.net.au

| Re: "aggressive" bull bars Feral Vixen you have got it in one it does depend on the cop which not the right way to go because if you get one that is having a s**t day then you are likely to get a sticker for it. What really needs to happen is that everyone be told what you can and get have, but at the sametime they really need to get out for the office and have look at where we drive and what the roads are really like because lets face it the road in the country are not the same in the city. | |

| Re: "aggressive" bull bars Well i want to add me bit too.... I actually dont have a bullbar as of yet but am at the moment paying one off... So i will have one soon... and yes it is a 5 poster... I dont understand all the laws about 5 posters... I know soo many ppl with there utes and 5 posters and some who have had yellow stickers for different reasons and others who havent had them... So it may just be the cop you get yes.. But then again they should all be doing there job properly, neways... I mean I dont live in the country as such, but i do spend sometime on very country like roads and Im drivin ova east in Sept, so i dont want to be hitting any roos either... So back to the whole point bout the bullbars I want one right or wrong and im goin to get one so if the cops want to be assholes then they can... but its still the whole thing about every other law that some cops just bypass.... I totally agree with the others who have said they should be spendin our miney on other things... I heard the main reason they want to ban our loved 5 posters is becoz they can seriously injure a pedestrian... Hello not one single person has been hit or killed with a bullbar yet... So y??? If they want to ban bullbars well 5 posters on Utes y cant they ban them on trucks to... Untill they justify the law properly so it makes sense and applys to every1 then ill be fighting it all the way... Also the other thing that cracks me up is its only a law in WA and we are the most rural state and have the least amount of population so i really beleive that its sooo stupid!!! And if my insurance company wont pay my claim then ill insure my car with a Eastern State company simple as... So there guys thats my bit... How ridiculous... So thanks guys and hope we can fight to keep our 5 posters.... | |
