| Re: bullbar in the city ... I'm with southern son on this apart from the need of a bullbar, most people won't cut you off and stupid peds won't walk in front of you because they will have a second look at it....I go to mum's place alot and on a good night i will see aout 5 roos at least and sometimes they are stupid enough to jump out in front of me and the small bullbar i have would not stop a 6 foot buck from my front end. So i'm going to get a 5 poster for looks and use.... P.S. sometimes there are livestock that might get of their paddock out at Ross Creek and i have hit a couple of sheep every now and then

| Re: bullbar in the city ... for sure. my bullbar is not used as a weapon, although it is often taken that way which im not complaining about haha. but ya know, the road users out there which drive mercs and bmws and prochers etc (major stereotype but its mostly true) and think they can get away with anything should be put in line more than someone using a bullbar to protect their pride and joy! im sick of people not indicating, speeding just to push in front, high beams on right infront/behind you, people racing off, and most of all, people SITTING ON 80 IN THE RIGHT HAND LANE OF THE FREEWAY. i mean, most ute people i know obey more road rules than other car drivers, its just we get picked on cause they look different haha. i got pulled over the other week for DOING THE RIGHT THING! i indicated to go around a car that was turning, and indicated to go back. and then sat in the left hand lane. i was the only person who did the right thing, and the copper was amazed. he congratulated me, thought the ute looked great etc, gave me a quick breatho etc but yeh no problems. he was amazed that a p-plater was doing the right thing. so wat does that say? and id place a huge bet that our utes have less defects than many other cars. for example: my mates 1976 450SEL. it has cut springs, spacers on ther axles, wheels that are too big (18 inch), a straight through exhaust, its too loud, a wooden steering wheel (they are defectable), the speedo doesnt work, and speakers on the parcel shelf (yes, defectable too). compared to my ute: maybe the bullbar? maybe the leds? thats about it. dunno about the 2M aerial either, might be defectable. but ill get picked on more than he does. which i think is unfair, but i live with it and dont really care about. its his choice. so anyway, if u like ur bullbar, i saw keep it, regardless of where you are.

The people with all the defect notices know what they are doing is wrong and get off on the thrill that they are getting away with it. When they get caught they say police harrasment. We know what we can do and what we cant do to our utes and stick within them guidelines mostly |

| Re: bullbar in the city ... its as simple as this if you need it you need it if you dont you dont no excuses. most of the city people reckon we look like dumbasses so if you live in the city why not stick a few longhorn stickers on even if you have nothing to do with cattle at all and make yourself look even more stupid. simple
