Swaping Bullbars

We just brought a secondhand 5 poster bullbar to fit an AU Ford,(It came of a ute) planing on putting it on my car, (a Ford Falcon Forte AU sedan), but for the life of us we can't figure out where to start or where the bar mounts to. Any ideas?

Re: Swaping Bullbars

It seams logical to me that the mounts would be the same in the ute or in the car, you would need to take the plastic apron/nose cone off first and then it might provide more clues on what to do,

but its a ford, so anytings possible... lol

Should work to me!

Re: Swaping Bullbars

series 1's are completely different to series 2 and 3's so check that it was off the same series, and did you get the box mount that bolts to the car, the bullbar then bolts to the box mount

Re: Swaping Bullbars

its the same as a ute...take the front end off and there is a retaining plate which gives the bumper some stopping power remove that and the holes where the bar bolts on to should be in clear view.

Re: Swaping Bullbars

yeah just remove the bumper (a mission firt time too) and you will see the chassis you will have drill into the chassis to mount the brackets. you also will have to chop the top half of your bumber off.

Re: Swaping Bullbars

Yeah I ended up taking it into Markcraft in Mildura & they said no way in hell it will fit my car, & they had no idea on what it came off, (pretty stupid considering they are the ones that built it in the first place!) They said it might have come off a One Tonner & therefore wont go on my car as it has no chassis. So there was a waste of money, or so I thought. We listed it on eBay & within 10hrs it was sold! Now we are just working out how to get it to Forbes NSW from Buronga NSW! Any suggestions?
