NO MORE 3 POST B/BAR IN WA WTF???

So i have been to irvin to get a bar made for the VS i just bought.And they say they arent making them anymore because to many people are getting pinged for them!!
But you can buy a poxy looking 2 post bull bar with no mesh allowed instead!
So the fortunant people over east are still lucky and getting away with 5 posters and we cant even have a 3 post now!! whats going on.
If you try and do anything about it they will pick on ya!
Well it just plain old SUCKS!!!

they were badly designed bars, that did not comply to the relevant ADR's and the DPI was absolutely right in banning them, espcially on commodores, since they cut away part of the rad support which in effect deems the vehicle a write off, because the structure has been altered. They also did not make the mounts strong enough to suit the weight, and they did not use high tensile bolts... So for once i applaud the DPI for banning these down right dangerous bars

No 3 posters!!! Thats silly! Did you see on the news the other night that guy just wondered onto the Mitchell Freeway and a car ran over him! That car didn't have a bullbar and the guy still died! I still agree that we need to emphasise on teaching pedestrians how to cross roads and not get drunk and wonder onto freeways!!!

Yeah am going to truck a bar. I havent had a good look at the bar so i didnt no they were so badly designed!They are the only bars that i thought we could get here but i will shop around

truck-a-bar will make you a 5 poster, however they will not comply it. all you need to remember is upright end posts are legal if they have a 5 degree radiused edge, the bar must lean back a minimum of 5 degrees, and shape to the basic contour of the vehicle, it must also sit at least 100mm off the ground at full load (all passengers and tank of fuel)

also look over east theres a few and i meen only a few making bullbars leagal for WA ... some look 10times better than any thing ya can get hare ...

i'd just throw a monsterous bar on me front end if it wouldnt be such a big job gettin a sticker off, even though hedland coppers apparently arent doin local cars for them anymore it still doesnt stop a sticker going on when i manage to get down south for a show or bns, bloody poxy laws

Unfortunately Some coppers are calling the three poster a five post bar but they musn't be able to count if they keep stickering them and wasing everyone's time and money. But Yeah Irvins won't have anything to do with them anymore. Best bet is to try truck-a-bar or go to a boilermaker/engineering mob and give em a cashy, But remember it's got to comply with the current ADR regulations. You can get this info from the Department of Infrustructaure website.
