I've got an Irvins Feral on me RTV cause it's the closest thing to legal I could Find due to the amount the utes driven. From the centre up the bar leans back and Its lower than the centre point of the bonnet (cant get ralley 4000's behind the grill though).

I have the Irvin Feral 3 post on my ute and yes it does angle back slightly from about halfway up. Problem is there is not much room between the bar and the body but I think Lightforce 170's will fit in the limited space. Not big lights but i spose it's better than nothing, don't have any yet due to limited funding but one day......

Hi all,i've come over from SA for work & I ca'nt believe the bullshit laws regarding bullbars,accecories,stickers etc etc. I left my WB in storage in SA because of these laws,I ca'nt get a straight answer from the police,RTA,etc.
regarding what is legal & whats not,one cop will defect stone guards & bug deflectors & one wont,why cant there be some sort of standard?????
I guess that is the eternal question???
Anyway I guess i've had my winge,time for another bundy,

what the difference between 2 posters and 5 posters. It look and better protection for the vehicle. Ute in the city don't need the protection of the 5 posters, but if you travel out to rural region. I don't care what shape or style of any poster. what the true problem with bullbar in the country and what the difference between hitting pedestrian with/without, you are goto get hurt or it dose is save the vehicle and the driver+ passage of this vehicle. so it save lives, that what the goverment should be think about saving live, not picking on "The People from the Country".

I don't care, i well drive with 5 posters from the tourist and my vehicle. I don't drive stuip around the city or near pedestrian.

yep smarties is still legal (and he got it from avon 4X4 in Northam wa) as is the irvin three poster. i have the second one ever made on my ute and the rumour about it needing to leen back 10 degrees is total rubbish. There is nothing writen in the rules about this angle and there in no mention of mesh so there is someone spreading incorrect information around ask for a copy of the rules and read it

ps there is no mention about the number of posts either

I as well got sick and tyred of the bull crap ppl where saying about this and that regarding bullbars so i found out for my self ...

After reading the rules and regs(and talking to Scott at Northam arb and the ppl at irvin bars) i found there is no mention of how meany posts or the mesh and nothing about leening back...in fact there quiet vague!!!
But never the less lots of ppl have been given a yellow sticker for the Irvin three poster ... ( In my view less Agressive than "smarties" bar")

It is regarded by the guys at the pits that they dont wont mesh on the bullbar and irvin bars recomend you dont put it on along with now they've droped the over all hight of there three post bars and now leen the bars back to help make them copper/pits freindly

Wat all this meens i have no idea... i guess if you wont or need one put it on but face the fact that you will run into a cop one day that dosen't like the bullbar and gives you a sticker for it ... just deal with it at the time ...

PS ...If you do put a bullbar on find out about getting a mod permit for it 1st it may help...

Hey i am one of those unlucky easterners who got pinned for my 5 poster but i plan to get it modified once i have the funds and my rego changed over, can anyone point me in the right direction as to where i might be able to find out bout mods to the bar and cost...

Truck a bar on great northern highway do bar modifications they modified my mate jaques 5 poster into a 4 posta with round edges
