Get an independant product test done on the bar, depending on what the findings are you may be able to take it further i.e. class action. however the picture im getting is that its not the bar itself thats defective, more the way it is mounted to the chassis. so if anyone with a ute fitted with a Feral 3 poster is concerned then get it checked, again by a reputable independant company, and if either of the tests show a degree of negligence or that the product is improperly built. talk to a lawyer.

Problem is, as soon as you mention "bullbar" to a consulting engineer, they don't want to know about it! They put their tail between their legs and and run. Because it's a fickle subject

What needs to done is to find out who this bloke in DPI that is saying that theses bars are illegal cause at the time the bar was designed they were legal at the time, Im not saying that they was designed correctly but it was built legal to start with, it is only starting to get chucked out of wack since other people have started adding there own extra's like, bigger and wider posts. Mine and a very close mate of mine who is into the legalisation of bullbars opinion's are that, the 5 post or any posts bars have become illegal cause of alot city boys who are going bullbars, spot lights and etc are buggering it up for the boys who live in the country and do alot of country driving and are getting pinned when they come to the city, cause you go back 5 to 10 years ago when all the bars on utes could only be seen in the country and very rarely in the city and its because now about probly 50-60% of vechiles (ie4x4's, cars and utes) in the city have some kind of bar the front and only do say 10-15% of there driving in the country. And i am not directing that statement at anyone it is just an opinion.

The thing is rousy people are going to read this and be upset at me but the thing is it's not directed at them its been a problem for afew years now.

9 DPI inspectors (2 pit guys, the head cheese of welshpool, and other boffins) and a consulting engineer. So it's pretty unanimous over at the DPI that they do not want these bars!

And I wholeheartedly agree that if you live in the city and you run a big bar, and never run country, then that is stuffing it up for the rest of us!!

Thank you, we can agree on something and the reason for me saying this about the DPI's is because, there is no law on Bullbars and its these blokes that are tell the cops that they are illegal. The problem is all these rich city people with there 4x4's that never go bush with bars on the front that cause alot more damage or injury to a person than a 5, 4 or 3 post bullbar and its all these blind no good people that cant watch or check the road before walking out in front of vechiles. People are going to get hurt by a vechile weather it does or does not have a bar.

Could we maybe rally everyone up who has an issue with their irvin bullbar and confront them as a group?
I dont have one on my ute, but my best mates and brother have them and I know the money invested. I would like to stand up for everyone who in good faith tried to do the right thing and believed in the product.

Moo ute darling only if it was that easy, you could do it and get no where our best bet is to get the people with these bars to sign a complant and take it to them and see what they say and if that doesn't work maybe drive all ute to the court hearing if they have and pack them all there in the right spots and join in on the hearing, thats my opinion anyway.
